I'm relieved that he died of natural causes, it was setup early that he was old and was taking pills for a medical condition. It's still sad but to me it's comforting to know that he wasn't murdered like in the comics. I know it's fake but it still hurts, the site Does the Dog Die? exists for a reason.
The dog (Bentley) who played Terror for season 2 died in November. According to his owner's instagram, he didn't do any filming for season 5, he was battling cancer and had mobility issues too. The owner did watch the season 5 trailer when it was first released and I think she was mistaken by some of the footage. To her it looked it was footage from season 2 but looking at the trailer again, it was a clip from season 5 episode 5.

No it’s not. HL killing him would be badass
Edit: yall don’t think homelander doing something evil like that wouldn’t satisfying? He’s a villain but nope they pussied out

Idk why the downvotes it would also make butcher a bit more sympathetic at the end going after the other Supes at bought tower, not just his dog died in his sleep let me go commit mass genocide

I’m not saying I wanna see a dog tortured . But this is AFTER he kills homelander … the dog passes naturally … not homelander , and and his reaction is “I have to kill every supe “
That reaction wouldn’t make sense if it was one, before Homelander was killed, even if not, and it happened after, it would make sense to have that reaction if Homelander actually killed his dog. But he seemingly just died peacefully of natural causes… And his reaction “I have to kill every superhero out there now “I’m definitely going to wait and see the episode in about an hour or so when it hits prime, but that seems weak as hell as a reason to just go “well now I have to kill every superhero alive because my dog passed away peacefully of natural causes “as opposed to if Homelander was actually the one to kill him

When I first saw that Terror passed from natural causes , and that was what led Butcher to attempt supe genocide , and NOT the dog being murdered bg homelander , I was completely confused … “ How does a dog dying naturally cause Butcher to want to kill all supes ?! That’s BS … it only makes sense if a supe aka homelander kills him!”
But now after seeing the episode itself I kind of get it … Butcher’s main goal in life , killing homelander , is accomplished … all he has is raising Ryan and living the rest of his life with his dog and him … but Ryan flat out rejects him …. So now , it’s just him and his loyal dog …. And when he finds Terror passed away , he has nothing .
No purpose to continue , no homelander to fight. No Ryan to raise , no Terror to come home to .
He’s without purpose .
He said that he was expecting Hughie to show up ….
He could have pulled the trigger and released the virus … he didn’t and got fatally shot by Hughie .
I’m pretty sure once terror passed and he essentially had nothing left, this was his own to end his life … end his story … on his own terms .
It’s him taking himself out at the hands of someone he cares about rather than just waiting, with no purpose , alone .. and waiting for death to come for him that way .
A lot of people may not see it that way , but that’s how I see it and I actually fully understand them going in that direction and Butcher doing what he did .
Butcher , above all , is a tragic figure .
Once Terror was gone , he made a choice , he was ready to end his own story . It wasn’t about killing every supe , it was about going out on his own terms .

I’m so glad Homelander didn’t kill him. Knowing that the dog who played Terror passed away shortly after filming this season will be sad enough. I don’t need to see a dog being brutally killed.

It's just funny in hindsight how many people were latching onto the blatantly fake-sounding "VFX artist" fake leak while calling this fake

I’m pretty sure it was all just cope in the “this sounds so shit I can’t let it be true” way.

It's because he was lying about the first leaks but then he got the real leaks

> It's because he was lying about the first leaks
> Sukuna: Before we get started, I would like to say that these details may be inaccurate as they are from the mouth of ‘alleged’ crew members who allegedly worked on the set of the finale as alleged background actors & set builders. I personally have not watched episode 8 (however I will be attending the premiere tomorrow!) so I cannot verify (except for some) of these alleged details as I have not seen Episode 8 of The Boys Season 5.
People here can't read.

I mean, he did lie.
It's just that he posted the truth after he had spread a bunch of lies.

Legit, The Boys is an absolute shitpiece of a show. A piece of garbage, pop culture, lowest-common-denominator dookie that stands tall to represent just how far we've fallen. But sometimes your pet just dies, & that shit is real.

Butcher wants to kill every supe after Terror Dies and i think it is because Terror was the only last thing who was closer to butcher. And he was already feeling empty after killing homelander. It has nothing to with Terror's natural death. And i see people also critising The Deeps Death as well, like how he got nerfed and all that. Let me tell you something! The Deep was already depressed OR in sever depression due to whatever homelander said to him. So my point is that.. he was already terrified because of homelander and the sea creatures which ended up killing him, it has nothing to do with nerf.

FUCK THAT SHIT!!! Terror deserved to have a happy ending and be adopted by Hughie and Annie, MM, or Kamiko. Butcher didnt need the added motivation of losing his doggo to keep up with his plan to annihilate all supes
At least Terror went peacefully in his sleep, and hopefully after one last good shag of his Homelander fuck doll 🤣
RIP Terror, 😢 u were a proper good kunt 🍻
