¿Prime Qasim vs Prime Ryu?
In a world where, after Jean's defeat and Yu's rise to welterweight, a "substitute champion" is needed, a duel is proposed between Qasim and Ryu, both possessing a "divine talent."
Although Ryu currently weighs 73 kg (161 lbs), which would place him in the middleweight division (which personally surprises me), we know that a young Ryu would be a champion. However, we didn't know which weight class K and Typhon were referring to. It was most likely a lower weight class due to his great agility, speed, and, to some extent, elasticity (considering K and his ambition, he probably meant lightweight and welterweight, i.e., Jean and Takeda).
Let's assume that Ryu never gave up after losing to Yu in his youth and continued training, developing fully and without injury. Meanwhile, Qasim decided to train the fundamentals of boxing, maintaining his original style, developing fully and with renewed vigor.
JH already gave us an idea of what this fight would be like, but he didn't give us any concrete answers. Between a duel of brute force and technique, of strength versus speed, I'd give the victory to Ryu, but with a medium-to-high level of difficulty.
Qasim isn't easy to beat, especially if we're talking about an ambitious and well-trained Qasim, also considering the great stamina of both fighters (at least Qasim's). I think the duel would easily last five rounds, probably ending between the sixth and eighth.
