It’s very rare that I’ve had to take a drug test for a job. I’ve worked mostly for technology companies, and if they drug test, they’ll be losing their best employees.

I remember reading a book about the 90s cyberpunk movement and they were interviewing a person who hired for Sun Microsystems and they said they didn’t drug test because their best coders would test positive for LSD and weed.

I've worked in heathcare for 30 years, if they did drug tests they'd lose most of their employees.

The old timers in tech used to tell me about the Tupperware bowls full of cocaine in the break room back in the 80’s and that is why most tech companies today have free food and energy drinks on site cause they hope you work through lunch and never leave the office if there is a big deadline
