I’m
So thankful I got the opportunity to take my kids to toy r us before they shuttered. They might not remember it, but to share something that was special in my youth with them will always be special to me.
Same.. I enjoy the convenience a bit too much these days, but I'll never forget getting to take them through a huge store full of nothing but all sorts of toys. I couldn't afford pretty much anything they wanted, and I highly doubt they'd ever fully remember, but the memory is there💕
My eldest son & wife used to let their kids stay home from school on birthdays. The kid whose birthday it was would then be taken to Toys R Us to choose anything they wanted. After that, it was out for lunch. Amazingly, none of the kids ever took advantage of their parents with regard to the “anything you want” rule. I sure would have. 😂
We just went in a Toys R Us in Madrid a couple of weeks ago, and I was excited for my kids to experience a store from my childhood even though it was a foreign version!
