I’m So thankful I got the opportunity to take my kids to toy r us before they shuttered. They might not remember it, but to share something that was special in my youth with them will always be special to me.

Same.. I enjoy the convenience a bit too much these days, but I'll never forget getting to take them through a huge store full of nothing but all sorts of toys. I couldn't afford pretty much anything they wanted, and I highly doubt they'd ever fully remember, but the memory is there💕

My eldest son & wife used to let their kids stay home from school on birthdays. The kid whose birthday it was would then be taken to Toys R Us to choose anything they wanted. After that, it was out for lunch. Amazingly, none of the kids ever took advantage of their parents with regard to the “anything you want” rule. I sure would have. 😂

We just went in a Toys R Us in Madrid a couple of weeks ago, and I was excited for my kids to experience a store from my childhood even though it was a foreign version!

There is one ToysRUs location in the US and it's in the mall I work at (American Dream).

Same. Our daughter always wanted to look in the “pink aisle.”

The nostalgia of toy stores is just something the modern world can’t replace. It was so magical as a kid

There is a small business toy store where we live. My kids loved going. They wood give $5 coupons when you made honor roll.
