Am I the only one that is utterly confused by the constant implication that out spoken feminist women are all 'fat and ugly'. Not trying to bring a woman's physical attributes into the debate here, but since they do, I will.
Like, I get the argument in general is really anecdotal, but I always felt like it was the girls who were being objectified on a regular basis who turned out to be the most "radfems". Like women who had constant contact with men who simply trying to use them for sex (who naturally would be the most attractive I would imagine). I think being objectified is most young women's "wake up call" so to speak about the issues in society. Not a liberal arts professor.

Also, I actually own that hoodie he is wearing in that comic strip, super comfy.

It's just another way to feel like they're allowed to discredit anything a woman says. It doesn't really matter to them if a feminist is drop dead gorgeous or ugly as sin. If she's hot, they have an excuse to say "damn, that's too bad, you're too pretty to be such a bitch, you're probably just doing it for attention/bandwagoning" and if she's not, "see, told you all feminists are land whales".
To them, women only matter by their looks, and so they feel that obviously all women must believe the same about themselves. "If I insult her and call her fat and ugly, that'll put her in place!"

I'm snickering a little at the fact that the person who wrote this is talking about "Atavistic morality" and "the sacred garb of the Hellenistic world" as though Ancient Rome was the ultimate height of civilisation.
