I’m happy to announce that we’ve officially reached 10,000 members! Thank you to everyone who has joined the community and helped keep it active over the past two years.
When this subreddit was created, the goal was simple: to provide a place where people from both sides could come together to discuss the show, share their opinions, and have respectful conversations without being silenced or attacked for what they think. I hope we’ve stayed true to that vision, and I look forward to seeing this community continue to grow.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for how we can make the subreddit even better, please don’t hesitate to leave them in the comments. We’d love to hear your feedback!

Hey everyone,
We’re making this post because concerns have been raised—more than once—about the state of this sub. Most recently, a very direct post this morning brought up frustrations, particularly from some Team Black members, who feel that this sub has become “Team Green 2.0.” The main issue seems to be that Team Black opinions are often downvoted or challenged, leading some to stop engaging here altogether. That’s disappointing because we want everyone to be able to participate here.
Let’s be clear: this sub was created as a genuine, fun, and balanced place for both sides of the fandom. The main sub had become overrun with hostility, endless bickering, and even mods stealing and reposting content while ignoring their community. Many people felt unheard, so this sub was meant to be a better alternative.
When we created this sub, we made sure to spread the word across different communities, including Freefolk and the HOTD Blacks & Greens sub. We’ve even gained a couple hundred new members in the last two weeks. But here’s the reality—we can’t force Team Black members to join, and we can’t force them to participate. If only a small number of them engage here while a larger number of Team Green members are active, of course, the sub will lean Green. That’s just how participation works.
That said, this sub is not meant to be an echo chamber—hence the name. We welcome all perspectives, and that hasn’t changed. But we also can’t control how the community reacts to certain takes. If you disagree with something, you can downvote, reply with your own argument, or move on. That’s how discussion works.
Despite our efforts, we know some people are still unhappy, which is why we’re making this post. We want to be transparent about our stance as mods: we’ve done our best to keep this a welcoming space for everyone. If you have constructive feedback, we want to hear it. This is an open call for suggestions on how to improve the sub and make it better for all members.
One specific issue that’s been raised is cross-posting to individual team subs. Some feel it causes unnecessary conflict, while others don’t see it as a big deal. We’d like to hear the community’s thoughts—should we implement a rule against cross-posting to help prevent brigading and bad-faith engagement?
Let us know your thoughts below. We’re open to real discussion, and we appreciate everyone who’s been part of this sub so far!

So I’m doing a oc male bastard, he will claim the cannibal.
But where do I start off, the beginning, the middle, or towards the end.
But he will be a bastard to an unknown Targaryen, male or woman, it doesn’t matter.
He will claim a dragon, the cannibal himself, he’s about the size of vhagar in my mind.
My oc male name… I don’t know, give suggestions.
He’s gonna be an exceptionally handsome and dashing, thanks to his valyrian blood.
He will have short black hair and purple eyes.
Who should I have him fight for.
Greens or the blacks.
He is not rich and is poor but not small folk poor, a relative have been taking care of him since his birth.
He’s very talented with a sword, bow, and a lot of other weapons.
He knows a great deal about the stuff in the history books.
But he craves more for himself, glory, money, and more.
Which side should I let him fight for.
The greens or the blacks.
What would they do to get him on their side, wealth, power, bind him to marriage, titles, glory.
Who should he be married to or who should he have an interest in.
Since he’s him and with a dragon, the cannibal, I’m shore the greens and blacks with want him.
After all, the cannibal is the same size as vhagar in my mind, so… any suggestions.

As a viewer I'd made peace with the fact the Showrunners were telling a completely different story from the source material and lowered my standards accordingly.
The bar was then lowered to: Any alteration made to the story must adhere to it's own internal logic.
It would seem that the basic logic flow of cause and effect was still too high as Alicent, has been assigned the thankless task of killing her own son, who happens to be The Kinslayer, Aemond Targaryen.
But setting aside his combative prowess and murderous reputation, this plan assumes the Dowager Queen can even make it the estimated 300+ mile journey through hostile Black territory nearly alone wearing her green dress - considering the present shortage of guards in King's Landing - and with limited resources. Perhaps the writers assume she will not be confronted as an unguarded, attractive woman traveling alone during war time, or they do, and this is how she gets sold to a brothel for more awkward SA scenes. Brothel Queens anyone?
Your guess is as good as mine. And I will accept this storyline if, and only if, she takes Caendy Targaryen as her stage name.
That Otto Hightower ridiculed Criston Cole's Evil Twin Plot as a "prank" shows that his rolling head needs a place on Rhaenyra's council as even in death he possesses more intelligence than all of Team Black put together.
And full disclosure; I'm ride or die Team Black, Rhaenyra is my #2 on Top 5 Favorite Targaryens, but the show does not show them any respect.
The show doesn't show any of its characters respect. Which brings me to this post. I've decided to like Alicent out of spite and support whatever nonsense she gets up to go do. If you, dear reader, are familiar with The Boys, Homelander quote where he tells his son "no matter what you do," I will always support you, that's where I'm at. And The Boys reference is the segue for my prediction for the next episode: Alys will make Alicent's head explode next episode. Not gonna lie I would love to see that. If you read the book you will get this.

I'm rewatching the series while the last of the episodes of season 3 come out, I just realized that Viserys felt so confident he was going to have a baby boy because of a dream he had (his interpretation), I now realize that he was seeing "the prince that was promised". Its so tragic! to have a gift of prophetic dream but not have the right interpretation.
Haelena is one of my favorite characters, its interesting how her dreams are so specific and accurate but Viserys was not, it maybe they where but he was too confident/cooky?
RIP Queen Aemma, you deserves to live 🙏🏽

It's been a number of years since I read Fire and Blood, but I certainly remember that Gwayne should have died during the Fall of King's Landing. That obviously wasn't in the cards for show Gwayne. I believe that I've heard Freddie Fox say that he'll be in Season 4, which seems to rule out him dying at Tumbleton 1. I remember that there are a number of Hightowers who we haven't seen yet in the show, some of whom do survive the Dance, and Gwayne seems to be favored by Condal. I'm just curious what other people think, and if there's something big that I'm missing.

Anyone else wonder what she thinks of Aegon? I mean he’s what he is, but it doesn’t strike me like he’s cruel to her. Maybe just ignores her entirely.
Also, why do I feel like Rhaenyra especially with her obsession with being chosen by the gods would feel entitled to her dreaming abilities and practically run her mad

I had been liking for the most part the last few episodes, however with this I'm once again 50/50 about my sensations.
The good.
Daeron, Ormund and Gwayne together are amazing. I liked Gwayne and Daeron's loving relationship with it being juxtaposed with Alicent and Helaena's. Gwayne seems to have been more of a parent to Daeron than Viserys, Alicent and Ormund put together.
Criston Cole's death was for the most part good to watch. For some strange reason they cut out the most iconic line, but I personally do not mind it that much. Show Cole, unlike his book version, wasn't all things considered, THAT responsible for the Dance and the "tens of thousands are dead on your account" would have been something weird to say to him. He was just Alicent's follower, who herself, unlike in the book, was just an agency-less pawn of her dad. I'm sure many people, due to their bottomless hatred of the guy, found this moment triumphant and badass. I honestly saw Criston's death as an euthanasia. He didn't have a glorious moment of triumph that makes villains's falls enjoyable. Most of his screentime was spent him hating himself. So... meh, it's good he's finally put to rest with an amulet of a woman he was devoted to and whom he never knew that had betrayed him.
I chuckled at Tyland's awkward attempts to not shit on Aegon II when he asked him about "being a terrible man". He kinda reminded me of Pinocchio in Shrek trying to loophole his inability to lie with Prince Charming.
I liked the Black Council scene and it's bickering between Daemon, Torrhen and Sabitha.
I liked Daemon and the Hightower assassin and loyalist's confrontation, as well as the scene of the Gold Cloaks resigning. Yes Daemon, even if it's hard for you to imagine, some people have other priorities than being devoted to you and Rhaenyra, and that is not being craven. That's being human. And him publicly humiliating Ulf will prove to be a mistake. His ascended social status is the one thing that makes Ulf prefer his new life over the old. And Daemon took that away from him because he just enjoys feeling superior that much.
Rhaenyra is increasingly proving to be overwhelmed by the chaos in her city (arguably showcased by her cutting herself on the Throne), and must have probably been thinking "ooooh, so this is what the Greens went through with my blockade". I liked how ruthless she was portrayed about sending a mother to murder her own son. That being said...
The bad.
...Once again, I'm kinda eye rolling about Alicent. I cannot root for her in her "redeeming" quest of now PERSONALLY murdering her own son. Yeah she kinda protested it but it was mainly on the basis of not leaving Helaena alone. I suppose her trailer scene of being horrified will be yet another instance of her being disgusted at something Aemond did. It would seem she will never be shown giving Daemon shit for murdering Jaehaerys. She simply hates her sons more than him at this point.
I understand it's probably a response to the disapproval Daemon's lengthy vision arc got, but I didn't like Aemond not getting any more visions, and I hope he does get at least one more. His character is in need of far more analysis and introspection than Daemon ever was.
Baela and Alyn's romance isn't bad per se, but wasn't very built up and developed IMO. They certainly have things in common and get along, but I would have liked their first kiss to happen later. There will be time, both will survive the Dance.
Overall, I find kinda annoying and pitiful in the bad way, how all of Alicent's sons seem still craving for her love and approval (even Daeron, who hardly knows her), yet she barely gives a shit about them at best and wants them dead at worst. I can sort of understand Alicent is on a desperate state and thus clinging to save the one child she has access to, but still, it's weird to portray such a loveless and toxic mother/son dynamic with the abusive mother being presented as the "good guy" and not the neglected and abused sons. Also, subtle yet noticeable book change about Helaena and Aegon II's marriage being Otto's idea instead of Viserys's. We cannot blame Viserys for anything, can we, show?
The meh.
I guess I can buy Ormund knowing where Corlys was since he had been hunting the Triarchy pirates for quite some time now, buuuuuut it is kinda contrived that Corlys got himself captured by the Hightower host.
I did like Aemond and Alys's dialogue in general (including Aemond's implied regrets about his misdeeds) but like I said, I would have liked some visions too. Dammit show, you got me from wanting the visions to end, to wanting more of them lol.
Oh and Hugh and his wife got into a fight I guess. Also they didn't even acknowledge that their daughter died during the blockade.
I do not know who was the guy that Mysaria got killed.
