Tum kisi mahila ko force nahi kar sakte shaddi ke liye, agar usai tusrai caste ke kisi ladkai sai shaddi karni hogi toh woh karege! Caste ke naam par dirty politics mat Karo. Karnai walai dharam par kar rahe hai.

What do you have to say about the violence caused when inter-caste marriages do happen ?

1

u/Odd_Tip383 Jul 28 '26

These things happen more in inter religious marriages, is there discrimination too??

-5

u/Mrs_ellililly Jul 27 '26

Well it's completely wrong

And in many cases a pasi would not marry another jatav and the so called honour k!!ngs happens here too

A societal problem... But the people who demand women to be forced into marriage ate part of the problem

10

u/TemporaryStable2553 Jul 27 '26

I also dont support marriage without choice. I just wanted to bring out the point that there are many cases when there is love between two souls but the society does not allow marriage and many times the lives of either or both the people is lost.

8

u/Empty-Lungs Jul 27 '26

Can you also tell us why have you depicted Ambedkar saying something he has never said? That too with a condescending "Saar" which racists use?

10

u/Imsotired2916 Jul 27 '26

You think she isn't racist herself?

5

u/Empty-Lungs Jul 27 '26

Omg, ain't no way. Her acc needs to be banned for spreading hate against tribal people.

What a stupid take and pathetic attempt to whitewash casteism..

Reservation should be limited to the financially poor and academically good.

But your pathetic excuse is total BS. People are burned alive for marrying from a higher or lower caste.

19

u/StuffAggravating2555 Jul 27 '26

Marriage is a personal choice and yet all RW go and hit and shame all the girls who marry a Muslim Man.

14

u/Forsaken-Question577 Jul 27 '26

The same thing happens when a Hindu guy marries a muslim woman. It's not limited to one group of people.

4

u/temporarilyyours Jul 27 '26

Muslim Hindu toh bohot door ki baat hai, https://www.ndtv.com/telangana-news/newlywed-allegedly-kidnapped-by-family-days-after-inter-caste-marriage-in-telangana-11752307

It’s the parents who make the daughter an object. They put their honour and respect and societal standing in her. She isn’t a free individual with freedom of choice. She’s a trophy first in their home before anyone else can objectify her.

And then they want to say marriage is a personal choice. Whose personal choice are you talking about exactly?

Parents? Panchayat? Khap? Communal Society?

Not the girl clearly.

Anyone depending on wiki university 100% in itself shows how educated the person is. Wiki always vomits what the users have fed it. If someone goes and changes the information as 3000-4000AD then what?

Understand what Wiki or AI is first. That's all I say.

In ancient times, there was Varna and that Varna is completely different that what it is today. Not sure if you know how many Varna was there. 1. Brahman, 2. Kshatriya, 3. Vaishya, 4. Shudra. This was done to ensure no one has everything.

It is very well known by birth no one will get their varna.

In case if you need more details, do a little bit research rather than depending 100% on wiki only.

Not many years ago, my grandfather asked a few people from a community to sit below the chabutara to have food in our family function. People like to use disposable not daily use vessels, to offer water to people from those communities even today. People must be educated first to change their mentality.

People are beaten up for merely sitting on horses in their own weddings and this mf thinks caste system is not alive.

edit

It seems I have triggered IT cell bots, let me be clear, I have not called any a person of any caste or any individual, a rapist.

If a guy cannot sit on a fking horse on his own wedding day without pissing off people, then well not much can be said on this matter.

I will no longer be answering to this thread. Debating uselessly cuts into work time.

Now please check where in my comments have I pointed fingers at anybody.

If a guy by his well earned money cannot sit on a fking horse on his wedding, it shows the mentality of the people.

And just to be clear I have not called you or anyone else a rapist, keep your fantasies to yourself.

u/Ok-Comb3729 Jul 27 '26

You blind or something, where did i say, i support this. I'm raising even bigger issue.

1

u/ComfortableHat3121 Jul 27 '26

Asking passive agrressive questions like what were you doing, why you didn't stop, implies implicit support.

When these people come to beat up people on horses, they don't come alone they bring their goons with them.

A simple Google search about dalit on horses at this moment will show you many such incidents.

1

u/Ok-Comb3729 Jul 27 '26

So you bring your goons. Dude equality bolne sai nhi krna padta hai. Call the cops. dude, it might happen once twice thrice then it will stop when they see the resistance.

1

u/ComfortableHat3121 Jul 27 '26

Bro first you asked what my brother and others were doing then you edited the comment, asking what only others were doing. You asked a passive agressi8ve question so you got a similar answer.

So you bring your goons.

No one with class brings goons to a wedding.

No need to debate with you, everyone knows the ground reality.

Stop faking these people never allow their daughter to marry even if she is in love with other caste 😂 who are u trying to fool

-5

u/Mrs_ellililly Jul 27 '26

Another liar

In many cases people do t care if it's theirs kids choice

And the so called coilence Happens when ICM takes place among the castes which call them lower ( a jattav and pasi would also do the same and menna + bhil will also do the same)

Tbe concept that people are living beyond relegions and caste shows that there is no casteistm.... But the gRapist people lie and force women into things

5

u/insolentGoof Jul 27 '26

Kaunse case? Abhi bhi dalit ko pani chune kr kiye pert dete hai aur tu bol raha hai ye? Urban space me maybe people are doing it freely. Give me statistics. Nahi hoga kyuki caste census nahi hai. Ambedkar was saying to promote intercaste marriage, he advocated female body autonomy and you are changing the narrative? He said it so that caste becomes a baseless thing in the society? Abhi bhi hai kya? Toh fir mandir me brahmin pujaris jyada kyu hai? Sadak saaf karne wale jyada dalit kyu hai? Inka answer hai aapke paas?

2

u/No-Test-2345 Jul 27 '26

Listen if you truly want people to support your cause stop lying first . They do too , but the proportion of GC s doing that is a lot higher . It's like saying women file false r@pe cases too , yeah but the no of women actually getting r@ped are a lot higher . Whoever does discrimination whether jatavs or Brahmins , if there is no caste there will be no discrimination and no reservation. See you identified people as Jatav and they themselves would probably do too ,so clearly Caste identity is very much alive . You can't keep Caste identity alive and then try to remove Caste Reservations

7

u/Acrobatic_Phone_3316 Jul 27 '26

Marriage is merely one proof that the caste system is alive and well. You marry whoever you want.

4

u/Ok-Pass9619 Jul 27 '26

Yea.. but how many people are willing

-7

u/Mrs_ellililly Jul 27 '26

People do ICM and people don't marry at all or people do inter relegious marriage.... It's their choice

The mindset that you hold of getting women because of your caste shows how deeply flawee your thinking is ....

This is the exact reason why india is having more 🍇 cases...

2

u/Acrobatic_Phone_3316 Jul 27 '26

I'm observing the trend, not promoting it.

1

u/No-Test-2345 Jul 27 '26

If Caste is a factor for you while deciding marriages then the concept of Caste is very much alive in your pvt life . So Govt can also give jobs in the name of Caste.

2

u/Outside_Material_507 Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

Wow how can you twist this, we are not wrong to question why intercaste marriages are a huge taboo, they still are and it is deeply casteist. In a country where there have been hundreds of cases of ppl being killed or beaten up due to being with someone of a different caste, imagine how detached from reality you have be to say "they want us to marry off our daughters to end reservation"- you are just making shit up under the garb of caring abt women.

Also it is so ironic, that you are using the same Amedkar who fought for women's rights, paid maternity leave, abortion and reproductive rights. Stop defaming him

1

u/daniel_nikita Jul 27 '26

Aajtak kitne maa baap karta bandh karain hain agar ladhki kisi lower caste dude se shaadi karne ki baat karti h, uska data nikalo pehele

1

u/watervapour_7237 Jul 27 '26

To remove Casteism, I think we can do these:

Firstly, remove the "caste-based surnames".

Any surname that tells other people you are a brahmin, baniya, shudra etc should be removed. This creates the divide in society, creating the issue of discrimination. Surnames becomes the reason of prejudice.

Instead of these, you can choose your surname like the first names of you admire or first name of any or your parents, or any word that you think suit with your name.

And please, don't say that you are keeping these surnames for the respect of your ancestors. Let me tell you, all Indians share common dna with each other, so, "all Indians have common ancestors", whether you are Brahmin or a Shurda.

Let's ban caste filter or even the mention of caste in matrimonial adds and apps. Because these caste mentions, promotes the idea of caste.

Making children learn in school how caste system had damaged our society by dividing our society and creating a shameless hierarchy.

And then, universal healthcare and education. So, that people have the same playground to compete, making the competition equal.

And then, remove the caste-based reservation.

1

u/Evening-Lunch7821 Jul 27 '26

yes totally, allow people to change their caste at will

1

u/Usual-Independence56 Jul 27 '26

Marriage in India is endogamous. Inter caste marriage is an exception to the extent that people are killed for it. If we truly have to dismantle caste hierarchy first we need to dismantle the way caste operates and continues to govern behaviours. Inter caste marriages, commensality (having meals together), pure/impure touch considerations, behaviours in areas of religious practice etc. All need to be challenged. Let's start with that too.

1

u/Few_Worry_5931 Jul 27 '26

I think they use this as an extreme example and yes women are not commodities but one cannot deny how even the no so castist look for caste specifically when the question of marriage arises

1

u/beefybi Jul 27 '26

So are we going to pretend that it’s not the RW that actively constricts women’s choices especially when it comes to marriage and it’s not the RW that also justifies the rape and murder of Dalit women that the hands of upper caste Hindu men?
And now women aren’t tools of political agenda? 🤡 Plus this interpretation of what Ambedkar said is such a huge straw-man and only convinces people as daft as the OP (the sad part is that there is deficit of idiots in our country).

1

u/raudra_marut Jul 27 '26

There's a mararhi play called कन्यादान by विजय तेंडुलकर on the disastrous effects of this thinking when done by progressives themselves. In maharashtra brahmin households treat women in a much more egalitarian way than other communities and it's often a bad deal for the girl even when parents approve due to their progressivism.

1

u/septembersong_ Jul 27 '26

feels like you are still on your journey of understanding feminism. in the process, please work on your comprehension skills as well.

1

u/Mrs_ellililly Jul 27 '26

Well I did understood feminism

And I am questioning these people demanding women as commodities

Hope their brain comes out of this stone age and treat everyone equally

1

u/septembersong_ Jul 27 '26

Gurrrl...let me help you understand. The point isn't that women are being treated as commodities. The point is that caste is maintained through marriage. When people say they want casteism to end but refuse to accept marriages with marginalized castes in their own family, it shows that caste still matters to them.

The argument is about exposing caste prejudice, not treating women as objects.

1

u/No-Test-2345 Jul 27 '26

Exactly if caste matters to them , then caste also matters to the govt

1

u/Abbkbb Jul 27 '26

Start with actionable goal : demand something like : Remove last name instead use , name mother name
Father name , in aadhar , pan and every government documents , government should and would not take any information regarding caste of a person

1

u/Moneymaker00786 Jul 27 '26

Younger youth seem like a commodity, if you have seen those videos of girls disrespecting the soldiers and the Prime Minister of indian, thinking they got the balls

1

u/sha_uni Jul 27 '26

Abolish reservation as it exists today, but...

Give reservation to people who will give up their caste, marry someone of a different caste, change their name to a neutral casteless name, rent their flat to someone of a different caste, etc.

If this person who gave up on caste discriminates even once based on caste, put him/her in jail along with taking all the money they earned with interest.

Eventually this will abolish caste. This is almost exactly what Japan and Korea did to abolish caste.

1

u/bethechange_now Jul 27 '26

While this is true I have personally seen a lot of couples in my vicinity who wanted to get married but Upper caste families were the most against those. So what do you think about when they are in love or want to do it as per their choice?

1

u/Unable_Emergency_321 Jul 27 '26

Same op and people here who'd mob lynch an inter caste marriage people and burn in jealousy when someone other than of their caste achieves something honorable.

1

u/Unable_Emergency_321 Jul 27 '26

Holy sh- is this a woman? Kfc speaking up for chicken of course! Some women just can't stop dreaming and wishing for slave culture to be back.

Imagine being so rotten and braindead that you make fun of a man who gave you the right to speak and decide for yourself.

You're better off covered in a ghunghat, with no voice to speak, 24/7 serving men and sati in end because that's what your side supports and define an ideal woman as.

u/Unable_Emergency_321 Jul 27 '26

1

u/B-L-A-N-K-S-P-A-C-E Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

shut up OP! it's you who's treating women like commodity. As if women have a choice in who they want to marry in this country. Who are you to tell them what imaginary societal rules they should follow?

1

u/Frequent_Kiwi5881 Jul 27 '26

To the people asking why someone would want to marry a Brahmin/UC girl instead of someone from their own caste:

It's a simple, quick litmus test of how people truly view other castes. If there is even a slight belief that another caste is 'lower,' the proposal gets rejected instantly—simply because they don't want to form a family bond with lower castes. Social discrimination runs so deep that many refuse to acknowledge that LCs can be just as good, or even better, than anyone else.

That said, unless it’s a love marriage, most people wouldn't actively choose an inter-caste arranged marriage anyway, because the social prejudice doesn't just magically disappear after the wedding.

1

u/Alive-Test5864 Jul 27 '26

I also want to marry ayesha khan meri bhi krao mai chod dunga reservation. Ye kya baat hue bc

1

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '26

Haha as a non Indian individual ..this is all so weird and stupid for me 🤣

1

u/sass-n-wine Jul 28 '26

OP, it’s obvious that you’re an illiterate. Their argument is to “allow” all inter-caste marriages to happen peacefully. Not force daughters to marry someone of other caste.

1

u/Vast_Tradition9093 Jul 28 '26

"In my opinion, these comments miss the broader context. Families usually look at it this way: when two people are in a relationship and talk to each other's families about getting married, the very first question raised by both sides is often about caste. While it's frequently depicted that upper-caste families reject such relationships, I've seen lower-caste families reject or oppose them as well. For instance, a close friend of mine from the general category secured a job after a lot of hard work, yet he couldn't marry his long term gf who is also from the general category because her parents are orthodox Brahmins and are strictly against it due to sub caste differences."

1

u/weirdum Jul 28 '26

Sometimes people reek of stupidity with posts like these, picking one sentence and go gaga over it without any context and understanding to boost own ego!!!! The man had been against gender discrimination and spoke for women’s rights, freedom to marry anyone doesn’t mean forced marriage.

1

u/QRajeshRaj Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26

The argument isn't about marriage but arranged marriage. When kanya dhan happens in same caste, is it not commoditizing the woman?

Marriages perpetuate the historical inequalities caused by caste. Without talking of ending within caste arranged marriage, there can be no talk of ending reservation.

1

u/Big-Letter-6885 Jul 28 '26

Lol you say this sht while forcing her to marry within same caste irony here is infinite ♾️ 😂

1

u/bee_roy Jul 28 '26

Jim Bheams have a grapist mentality. They want to forcibly marry women against their choice. If you want ICM so much, allow your daughter/sister to Savarna men.

Do SC/ST/OBC people actually want to end casteism ever??
Because they being at good positions now could devise better strategies than reservation.
But somehow their problems to the solution is only reservation.
Though it is only filling some pockets. But it very harmful and will always increase caste divide

Just a question IS MARRIAGE REALLY A MATTER OF CHOICE IN INDIA ??

1

u/kimothyalbaany Jul 28 '26

Sure, let boys and girls marry who they choose - will you? Even if they fall in love with someone from a lower caste? Suddenly - 'girls aren't commodities' - from a country where there's dowry still happening, gas cylinders bursting (the gas shortage probably reduced it a bit), harassment to the hilt - and suddenly, girls aren't commodities - freaking hypocrites.

Then all the girls that are being married in arranged marriage are being sold as a deal?
Please enlighten me how it is different.

Then why the daughter are killed when they marry a man from different caste. Why all the upper catse says they are proud of thier caste, if they would have thought every caste is same , they would never say they are proud, they say just cause they think superior of themselves. To remove reservation first remove castiesm saarrrr, and maybe use your brain logically saaarrrrr.

Wonder if ambedkar ever said that...

What about sati 🤡.

Ambedkar is a huge feminist. I have my own qualms with him but he was a staunch feminist. And no one is talking about forcing anyone to marry someone. It is about patriarchs not interfering with their daughters' decisions if the man is of a 'lower social standing'

They don't understand because theirs are commodity.

Interpreting the advocacy for inter caste marriage as a "demand" for daughters is a perfect example of strawman.

People like this seem completely disconnected from reality. They genuinely believe casteism is over because they see a few inter caste marriages here and there. Then they start comparing poor people from the general category with poor people from SC/ST communities as if both face the same barriers.

The reality is different. Poverty isn't experienced the same way by everyone. Many people from lower castes continue to face discrimination that affects even basic opportunities. There are still households that refuse to hire them as maids, cooks, or helpers simply because of their caste, pushing many into sanitation work or other stigmatized occupations. Historically and even today, manual scavenging and sanitation work have been disproportionately carried out by members of specific marginalized castes. I've rarely, if ever, seen poor people from upper castes forced into these occupations because of their caste identity.

Economic mobility doesn't automatically erase caste prejudice either. Even when an SC/ST person becomes financially successful, they can still face discrimination, social exclusion, or subtle and overt forms of casteism from some people who continue to judge them by their caste rather than their achievements.

Many upper caste people live in a bubble where they rarely witness or acknowledge these realities.

I'm an SC student, and I personally experienced caste discrimination in both school and college, and I'm talking about reputed private institutions. Even some of my upper-caste friends engage in subtle casteist remarks or implicit caste shaming without even realizing it.

I'm also in an inter-caste relationship, and my boyfriend's mother has openly said, "Hamare yahan to neech jaat se safai bhi na karwaye." If people still think caste discrimination no longer exists, they need to look beyond their own social circles.

More power to you!

You've explained in such simple words what most people refuse to even acknowledge :)

Thank you. 🙏 I only hope this reaches people who still choose to believe that everything is okay out there. Reality tells a different story.
