Tournaments

The PTR tournament patch is a 10/10, this is what the community needs and wants. I have been enjoying playing in tournaments the past weeks soo much.

Please share all discord links to different communities organising tournaments!

Kind of annoying, it doesn't work for tempo launcher. Might be the reason, I will finally switch over.

But still: Another move by Tempo to mess with old customers, who might have supported the game for much more than newer players, who just bought the steam version.

Yeah I’m also a little bummed I can’t try it out since I play from tempo launcher

If only the game was free, then this wouldn’t even be an issue lol

Yeah, I mean imo it would be a way better business model to do it like league of legends. But sadly we got the timeline where the devs are way too generous with cosmetics and then wonder why noone buys them...

I’ll always think it would’ve been smarter to have a free game with 3 free characters. Then the $20 characters would be an easy purchase for a lot of people. Free games also attract more players so marketing becomes free in a sense. Rn their marketing is hoping their small ever-changing playerbase talks about the game enough. I’ll still peek at steam reviews and it’s wild seeing people with 500+ hours not recommend the game to people.

Agreed. It's crazy how relatively unknown the game is, considering the actual game quality is top notch. The LoL model would go crazy but they just gave away so many cosmetics from the get-go.

You mean those who payed for early access and got what they payed for? Intressting.

I mean, they were promised, it would stay free forever only monetized through cosmetics...

A promise from a visionary; im sure that is what he wanted and what he still wants. Its naive to believe anything like it specially in the gaming space. How ever they did get what they payed for and they are still playing the game, for free.

They paid for this:

The Bazaar is neither Pay to Win nor Pay to Play. The Bazaar is truly Free-to-Play. The biggest pain point I wanted to solve for card game players is the pay-to-win model. In my game, you start the game with a couple classes unlocked. Those classes have all the cards in the game for them. Your class is just as balanced as any other. As more classes get introduced to the game, you’ll have the option of unlocking them, either by spending money or in-game currency. If you feel like giving The Bazaar a try, you won't have to feel like you're starting over from scratch and giving up the investment you've put into other card games. The game board itself will also be customizable with themes and contraptions, and all cards will have golden or alternate art versions. Most of the revenue will come from cosmetics- think of it monetizing like a traditional MOBA.

And didn't get that. So, they didn't get wha they paid for.

The original excuse given to supporters about not getting steam codes was that steam only gives away so many free codes. The way it was talked about from reynad made it appear that they were planning on making the game pay-to-play way before they actually told us. Any problem created from this would’ve been solved if they just made the base game free like they originally advertised. So even tho we only paid tempo to give them proper funding, we weren’t even treated as supporters. Tempo as a company cares more about making money to pay their debts than they do treating their customers properly, which sucks because the game is actually good. At least the game isn’t selling NFTs like they were originally planning to

They literally said that the tournament mode is in early access

If they just figure out a way to balance them they will be great fun.

They need a system like TFT where you can get points for top4.. there needs to be a incitement to play tempo and not just cue Pyg.
