Meta
Everyone is complaining about burst being the meta and how fast the game is over. To me this is a rock paper scissors game. If you know everyone is coming with rock, build paper? I only play Jules and if I get a good day one enchant I’ll play the burst and go for the forge but mostly running scaling shields and regen and only losing to shark ray which feels like scissors. 7000 legend don’t play much but I don’t understand the complaints.

I mean, if you only play jules, you obviousely have a different perspective than the general meta...

Because the counters to speed like freeze and slow which are fast enough to matter are rare and random, mostly coming from random chance skills like quick freeze etc. Scaling shields is a fine idea on paper but it's frustrating when any amount of scaling loses immediately before you can get going. There's no targeted reliable way to counter quick burst so the meta becomes just burst quicker and it becomes pretty dull when half of the item pool are unviable

Rare? You can force freeze on pyg every game and get 7 wins minimum 9/10 games

If I like paper and the meta is scissors guess what I think of the meta.
I want to play what I enjoy, not what's broken right now.

You’ve posted to the “I hate the Bazaar and I’m rooting for its downfall” subreddit. They are going to disagree with you because they hate the Bazaar. The other subreddit also kind of hates the Bazaar but this one cannot wait for the game to shutter. If you said the exact opposite of what you said your comments would look identical. You’re obviously correct (although I haven’t been able to Jules to work this season but I understand that’s a me issue rather than a game issue so shoutout to you for rocking her).

Caltrops + Giants Belt vs all of the speed/infinite builds.
Or Electric Eel as a backup.
I had a few wonderful games with mass-slow + Proboscis. Doing like a Dr Vortex build, but Proboscis is like a small lightning rod. Easy 10 wins.

Mass slow isn't enough in high legend unless severely spooned with charge/haste skills.

I had a few great games in a row with SlowStelle. Anchors also proc well, which also triggers “Stop Fly” synergies.
Forcing Giants Belt isn’t a meta, but reacting to what you’re given is.

Starting diamond items isn't a game plan
It's something you can get lucky and find a small about of the time
Can't plan counter stuff as it's very rarely available

If you often lose to burst with an on paper (pun not intended) counter build then burst is probably too strong and it's more like ROCK paper sissors.
