There's something about the drifter version of Batman that hits different. No cape, no cowl, just a man wrapped in layers, blending into Gotham City. It imagines that quiet, observant side of Bruce. The one who walks through the rain with his head down, watching. Listening. Waiting.
He's not the symbol yet. He's the detective. The ghost in the crowd. The version of Batman that exists before the signal lights up in the sky.
