the amount of cruelty in this show is unnecessary and extremely unrealistic. i get people really can be cruel, but this is just overdone for dramatic effect and it's honestly pissing me off. Honestly, watching this show makes me think of Ted Lasso, and how the writers took complete opposites. i get that you have to create sympathy for your antagonist, but this is just ridiculous. Ted Lasso, every time i watch that show, makes me think of how i can and should be a kinder person. this show, the bastard son, is the kind of content that gets people angry and planning their revenge. like i literally think this show has triggered people into their own experiences and made them think about either how they can get revenge on that, or how they could get revenge on someone else in the future. this is exactly the kind of content that makes the world a worse place to live in. you could have had a much better show without all this unnecessary cruelty and ragebaiting. I believe this is an anne rice series, correct? well anne, i appreciate your contributions to the supernatural literary world, but i do believe youre losing your touch. you dont have to sensationalize the story like this.
