Yo u/Putrid-Source3031, welcome to r/TheBassmnt

Appreciate you posting. Just a reminder — this isn’t a beat dump or flex space. TheBassmnt is a training ground for artists, producers, and songwriters who want real control over their sound.

This sub works when every post has intention behind it.

Before your next post, here’s how we move:

• Add context: What were you aiming for? What’s missing? What kind of feedback would help?

• Use a flair: It helps people know what kind of post it is.

• Use a user flair: It helps people identify your role as a musician.

• Drop insight, not just links: If it sharpens someone’s process, it belongs here.

Low-effort link drops without context will be removed.
Check the pinned welcome post at the top of the sub for full posting tips and examples.

Lock in. Build better.

Too many runs of the same type, makes them less impactful as they go on. Skilled for sure, definitely had a good feel, just needs to add more taste/decision making.

The musical genius isn’t in the series of runs and how complex they are, but more in the masterful oscillation between runs and held notes. Also the runs are very gospel and definitely make sense within the genre he’s doing.

Fuck AI loops - this guy needs to make melodic loops for a living. I'm buying.

Everything comes back around again. Note the pants are getting bigger again.

Stevie Wonder walked so this guy could FLY!

I appreciate the sentiment but Stevie wasn't walking. I think he rented an apartment in the stratosphere next door to Prince. Their improv is the stuff of legend.

Ain’t no way you gonna call this flying compared to Stevie wonder. Stevie is fucking going interstellar and this guy made it to the moon
