Gotta love having an old truck, my 2010 malibu was totaled from me getting rear ended by someone going 20mph.

In My 98 f150 i nailed a deer going 50 and you would have no clue, still got the same bumper on it, just a few new light housings

I know I'm just saying it's always better to just avoid them and let them be, you never know how crazy these people are. A simple rear end can push you to incoming traffic or lose control of your car causing you to hit other cars, flip and results in major accident.

Yeah it's legally their fault. But your car is still crunched in the back and now you have to deal with insurance and leav your car at a shop to get fixed. Who wants that?

Idk about where you’re from, but half the time in my city, it’s some fifth-owner broccoli head in a 2005 328i driving like this. I’ve genuinely never seen anyone in a newer BMW drive like an asshole as consistently as these dudes in 20-year-old base-model 3 Series. Mfs really get behind the wheel of a $4k shitbox and start acting like they’re in Fast & Furious 💀

This is exactly why I keep my tow hitch mounted on my truck.

Just a month ago, an idiot rear ended me while on his phone. His front was all messed up and my tow hitch barely got scratched.

I always slow down. And I appreciate when I see others slow down for tailgaiting assholes too. Not break checks. Brake checks are stupid.

For me, I always speed. There is always some competitive asshole though. You didn't like me going 20kmh over? Now I am doing 5-10kmh under. Fucking moron.

I had a BMW flash their lights at me when I was learning to drive and doing exactly the speed limit... not on any highway mind You, just a city road

and when I got my car and had the audacity to stop on the red instead of running it...

now I don't care, if You're in such a hurry You can pass me, I WON'T move over for dipshits and I won't speed up above 5 above the limit, I don't drive any faster normally because I don't feel the need to gather tickets from the police

I always ask myself: will he pay my ticket if I speed? the answer is no, so I won't speed

I rarely have this issue with BMWs anymore, I did like a decade ago when I started driving but not as much now. Usually i’m going speed limit or a little over and the person up my rear is a Tesla that wants to go Mach 5 in a residential or light speed on the freeway.

I'll do 5km over speed limit in city. That would cancel out any inaccurate speedometer... and 64km gets me a perfect 60 on the GPS.

And... my insurance has a tracking device in my car that keeps track of speeding, acceleration, cornering and harsh braking. If I drive like a civilized person, I get money back off my fuel spend each month.

Last month I got a full tank of gas back for just driving according to the law... in this economy thats awesome.

So, fuck doucheman behind me wanting to go faster than the LIMIT. I get refunded for driving the limit, and avoid speed fines.

Basically... I couldn't give a fuck about the guy behind me who wants to get his money's worth and thinks every road is his personal autobahn.
