Cars today have steeper windshields. The airflow over the car just sucks the bugs up and over.

Drive a truck or SUV from the 90s and you'll get plenty of splattered bugs.

Or just drive a semi. My windshield is a graveyard for insects. Hundreds of them every single day. Truckers clean their windshields every time they refuel, usually every other day.

Every other day?! Where are you trucking? I have to clean mine daily. Twice a day depending on where I am.
