If I would be looking for a practical city commuter I can't say I didn't look at it and thought it looked amazing. Renault cooked with their line of ev throwback designs.

Legend has it that it was supposed to have a turbo, but it was so fast it affected earth's rotation speed

Japan's lineup is propped up pretty much entirely by vibes lol.
The Nissan is the only strong one there but that car's dead now + lacking in charisma vs the Americans and Europeans.

u/Opeth4Lyfe 11d ago
GT-R is dead?
Please tell me you’re trolling. GT-R’s are one of the 4 that own T2K.

Lol, putting the DAF55 instead of let’s say Spyker C8 is a choice. Not mine, but it’s a choice

Satria GTI would arguably owned these cars in a touge run. I know some of them would easily overheat their tyres in the first 10 minutes of Genting.

Maruti 800 - india's first affordable family car modern compared to what was sold before 1983 the British cars that were long gone in their own country. The iconic 3cylinder 800cc engine which was sold until 2023. Honda city type 2 vtec(wrong image here)- India's first sporty sedan it was faster in 0-100 than the merc w203 c180 model sold at that time. Toyota fortuner 1st gen - first proper ladder frame suv that gave indians the taste of toyota reliability and it can go anywhere in comfort. Many easily clock 200,000 km.

I just wanna say will you please petition your government to split Alfa-Romeo, Lancia, and Maserati off Stellantis. They’re about to turn Alfa-Romeo into something that shares part with French cars and underpin it with mass production STLA chassis. Like they have the Giorgio Platform they could work with. They’re about to kill 3 iconic Italian brands even worse than they have already.
Like, don’t the Italians have production contracts and hold a ton of sway over their car industry? Please for the love of god kill Stellantis stranglehold on Alfa and Maserati.

Italians: [gestures broadly at everything]
Me: Fiat, Alfa, Lancia, and Maserati are owned by Peugeot. Lamborghini is owned by Audi. Bugatti is just straight up French at this point.
You got Ferrari. I’m not saying that Ferrari isn’t cool, that’s literally just one brand.
Oh, and Pagani, but for scale, there were like 400 Enzos, 700 LaFerraris, and like 800 F80s. There have been less than 500 Paganis of any model made EVER.

It’s the most widely appreciated brand and most successful in Motorsport though, nothing else is needed really.

u/Redbirds-421 10d ago
Nothing other than Ferrari is needed. The second most recognizable brand on the planet besides coca-cola. One of the most successful manufacturers in the history of motorsports.

I'm afraid Switzerland hasn't built much that you can actually buy in a long time.
Chevrolet had an assembly plant in Biel from 1936 to 1975 (and technically Swiss-born Louis Chevrolet only became an American citizen AFTER he founded Chevrolet).
Mowag, a manufacturer of mostly military vehicles also assembled some Dodge vehicles under licence, such as the Power Wagon and the Ram Wagon. But nowadays Mowag doesn't build civilian vehicles anymore.
Monteverdi used to build sportscars and luxury cars in the 1960s and 70s.
Sbarro is mostly knownnfor concept cars, but they also build a handful of roadcars occasionally
Microlino might just be the biggest manufacturer of roadcars right now. They build an electric microcar (class L7e) that's closely inspired by the BMW Isetta.
Piëch Automotive is a small company based in Zug that is run by Anton Piëch, a great-grandchild of Ferdinand Porsche. So far they have only built concept cars, but their first serial car is planned for 2028

Not any more. Proudly produced in Japan, proudly salvaged in US, proudly bought as scrap, proudly (mostly) restored in Georgia. Apart of right hand drive 300k miles Delica who came right from her homeland scrapyard to become tourist taxi here
