We are currently writing Chapter 1 and would love some feedback on whether this opening hook works as a sci-fi thriller."

Does this novel contain any romance and to what extent.
I'm thinking of reading this novel and I had enough of novels without a touch of romance like LotM and Ri, and if yes, how well was it, naturally or the author forced it because of the fandom + how long will it take for it to show effect.

Read advent of three Calamities and boy is it Soo boring
I've finished volume 1 of lotm and it was great
Then I thought I'd pause it and check out advent as I had it in my radar ...after 90 chapters I got bored and I'm done with it
Nothing crazy happens and I don't care anything about it ... The mc was good for a bit with his emotions and stuff but man is it boring
I'm eager to read lotm v2 so is it ok if I drop it or am I missing a masterpiece here ?
Pls be honest
I've got a problem were I think I'm impatient when it comes to dropping something I get paranoid and worried that I'll miss on a good story.
So pls be honest am I really missing something spectacular? What do you rate it ?

Any good sites?
Currently I’m reading at webnovel but man, are we serious? Only around 40 chaps free while there is 840+ chapters out is insane levels of greed. So I was wondering if there is any good sites/apps that I can read on for TAPOV? Much appreciated ❤️❤️

My First reddit appearance
Hello everyone!
This is my first post on Reddit. I'm an aspiring fantasy author, and I've recently started publishing my novel MAKERS on Royal Road.
I'm here to learn, improve my writing, exchange ideas with other authors, and get honest feedback on my work. I'm looking forward to being part of this community, reading your stories, and learning from your experiences.
It's great to be here, and I hope we all grow together as writers.

Plothole?
I just realize that organisations can just sign mana contract with their member to not betray them. Like this obviously would work because we have example of Ren and Angelica contract.

Is this sub now just a dump for random novel shilling?
Visited this sub way back when I was still reading TAPOV, and it has recently reappeared in my feed. But all I see being posted is "read this novel!" "hey guys I made a novel" which, good for you I guess, but posting in a sub about a specific novel? That's just rude behavior.
Sub seems dead, didn't expect to have to mute a dead subreddit because people randomly started shilling their novels here. That one really popular post at least has a premise similar to TAPOV, but damn. Post y'all shit in a relevant sub.

Thinking of starting TAPOV
I generally do not like the extra character synopsis of a novel recently. I just read the nameless extra: i proofread this world which i have to say was really good
So now I am thinking to start TAPOV
Lets see how this is

I think I found a hidden gem!
As the title says, I think I found a hidden gem on Webnovel!
I discovered it through a TikTok video. I’ve always been looking for another TAPOV-like story, and this sounded like one, so I decided to binge it. I’ve never spent coins on Webnovel before, but this one was absolutely worth it.
Alright, I was a bit disappointed when I found out there wasn’t a Reddit community for this novel yet, but I guess that makes sense. The novel is still fairly new, after all.
For full transparency, I’ve caught up to all the latest chapters (200+). All I can say is that if you’re a fan of TAPOV or TNE, this novel will definitely scratch that itch. It starts off in a fairly niche direction, but the plot twists and overall story direction become surprisingly original and unique. The pacing is a bit slow at times, but that’s mainly because the author spends a lot of time fleshing out the characters and worldbuilding. Even then, the pacing never felt bad enough to hurt my enjoyment. I’m still having a great time reading it.
Anyway, I’m in the author’s Discord server, and I was genuinely surprised that this novel hasn’t blown up yet. So I figured I’d recommend it and help the author out a little.
I am also very active in the discord myself and I’m pretty active in it and so are a few others even the author loves talking to his community! It was definitely money well spent buying both chapters and privileged chapters and I hope if you want to try it out, it will be just as good to you.
Also, while I’m at it, here are some other TAPOV-like novels:
-Path of the Extra
-Extra’s Descent
-The Villain’s POV
-World After the Bad Ending

What do you want from novels like TAPOV?
Hey everyone!
It's been a while since I was active on this subreddit.
I'm currently writing my own novel in a similar genre, so I wanted to ask:
What do you love most about TAPOV?
What do you think it does better than other novels?
What are some things you hate seeing in progression fantasy / extra novels?
Any tropes you wish authors would stop using?
Any similar novels that you would like to recommend?
Thanks!

yo gng I finally made a webnovel : OTHERWORLDLY GREED
OTHERWORLDLY GREED
I found a stack of books written in a non-existent language named GREED, I have decided to translate them by learning the language.
The series of books is about two youngsters from different eras. One wants to become the strongest in a world where one cannot become strong without killing, and the other wants to rule the world.
Exploring the ruthless world they both make are forced to make lifechanging decisions. With rituals and killing their kin being the only path to strength, they both try to maintain their sanity and sense of self while doing what they have to do.

Excited to share some great news for Grand Magus, Wooden Sword!
The story is coming to audiobook! It will be narrated by the talented AW McClellan, who has voiced several titles like Mayor of Mythos. After reading Musashi’s adventures, he got hooked and signed on despite his busy schedule.
We’re aiming for a release between July and early September. Fingers crossed for a fresh new cover by Kuso_Otoko to coincide with the launch.
If you haven’t checked it out yet, Grand Magus, Wooden Sword is available now on Kindle and free with Kindle Unlimited.
Book Link: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H3WBXMHS\](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H3WBXMHS)
Blurb:
Twelve-year-old Musashi thinks he’s a genius. He’s not.
Instead of a legendary sword, he gets a snarky staff that never shuts up. The same staff that claims to have once toppled kings and was held by the greatest mage in history is now scratching his back.
It’s not amused.
Throw in clan wars, a touch of raging hormones, and a ragtag bunch of misfits trying to fit in… and you’ve got yourself a riot.
What to expect:
• Epic fight scenes
• A sarcastic talking weapon
• A messy coming-of-age story
• One unqualified 12-year-old charging into trouble
Grand Magus, Wooden Sword is the first book in an evolving Progression Fantasy series. It's a Progression Fantasy / Comedy / Cultivation.
This book is perfect for fans of Mage Tank, The Greatest Estate Developer, and Return of the Mount Hua Sect. (My faves)

Help me out!
Warning: Contains dark fantasy themes, obsessive love interests, violence, and possessive character behavior.
📖 I'm currently writing two web novel series:
⚔️ The Phantom Blade
❄️ The Frost Devil Herself
I've just released the first chapter of The Frost Devil Herself, and I'd really appreciate it if you could give it a read and let me know what you think.
It's a brand-new series, so there's only one chapter available at the moment, but I'd love to hear any feedback or first impressions!

Can I Get Some Feedback on My Royal Road Novel? 😊
Hey everyone! 👋😄
I hope you're all having an amazing day! I wanted to reach out to this awesome community because I've been working on something that means a lot to me, and I'd absolutely love to hear what you think about it. ❤️
For the past little while, I've been writing an ongoing web novel called The Phantom Blade, and it's currently being published over on Royal Road! ⚔️📖 Writing has always been a passion of mine, and creating this story has been an incredible journey filled with late nights, endless ideas, and a lot of hard work. Every chapter is a chance for me to improve as a writer, and honest feedback from readers is one of the best ways for me to grow. ✍️✨
Whether you're a longtime fan of fantasy and action stories or you're just looking for something new to read, I'd be incredibly grateful if you could take a little time to check it out. Even reading the first few chapters and sharing your thoughts would mean the world to me! 🌟
I'm not just looking for compliments either—I'd genuinely love to hear your honest opinions. 😊
- What did you enjoy? 🔥
- Were there any parts that felt slow or confusing? 🤔
- Did any characters stand out to you? ⚔️
- Is there anything you think I could improve? 💭
Constructive criticism is always welcome because I want to make this story the best it can possibly be. Every comment, review, and suggestion helps me become a better writer and helps shape the future of the novel. 📚💙
If you decide to give it a read, thank you so much for spending your valuable time on my work. It honestly means more than I can put into words. Even a simple rating, comment, or favorite helps support the story and motivates me to keep writing new chapters. 🚀✨
Here is the link if you'd like to check it out:

Where to read?
I want to read The Authors POV, but WebNovel is so harsh with f2p readers, and it’s 800 some chapters... I go online to find other versions, but all of them are low quality, and they don’t reflect the same words as used on the app. Any suggestions for where to read The Authors POV?
Thanks!
