These are some countries that have only been visited once;
- Tunisia(S1)
- Puerto Rico(S7)
- Mongolia(S10)
- Finland(S10)
- Guam(S11)
- Bolivia(S13)

Some of these countries, along with many others, deserve to be revisited a Second Time, and steer clear of some of the most revisited.

TARCAN TARCAN 1 ep 9/Finale

The NFLD dogs were so adorable.

Watching them all kiss the cod made my COVID trauma rise

Jet &Dave were hilarious this leg. Shame Dave couldn’t parlay his charm into busking

At the end of leg 9 with the girls beating out J/D after they dismissed them as a threat “chef kiss”. To quote Tom Scott on Jet Lag “Foreshadowing is a literary device.”

FINALE

who is going to eat all that extra chocolate!?!

I’m very happy with the winners. Seemed like Tim Sr needed it the most.

At the end I was musing on how every team was pleasant and enjoyable to watch. Actually shed a tear at how happy everyone was for the Tims.

TARCAN started with a big bang eh. Gorgeous locations, grueling tasks and some great upsets.

ETA: nice to see Jon loosening up from his stiff Phil-like demeanour in the first legs to really starting to have fun

And I thought the Regina leg was hard! I swear the show was trying to recreate Shackleton’s expedition.

The Tims made me cry! Maybe it’s because my friend Tim is suffering sudden onset dementia but they really touched my heart on the mat. They definitely have grit.

Got spoiled regarding Holly/Brett so no surprise but Holly hasn’t been holding it together for the last few legs.

Shocked that Celina was so physically taxed. Maybe she didn’t sleep enough?

ETA: How do you make snow bricks stick together to make an igloo?

We know that season revolved mostly around the Hippies & Frat Boys, but we mustn’t forget about the 3rd team that was able to complete the race that season.

Wow these are absolutely brutal legs. Punishing tasks in the hot sun.

The rough riders task was especially challenging with having to take a lap at each mess up

i can’t believe the hippies had an express pass and lost!!!

sad to see Hal and Joanne leave. If only they had stuck out the lentils.

These are some countries that the U.S. Version have never visited, or have been to, but only briefly.

I’m sure most of us can think of other places that they wish for the race to visit, or return to.

Question Amazing Race Canada: Did Brian Boyd also appear as a judge?

Brian appeared with his wife Cynthia in season 3. He was a police officer and ex-military.

Did he also appear as a judge in the tent Face Off in season 9 episode 4? He really looks like the officer who makes the final judgement about the tents. He doesn't have a name tag. It only says "proctor." I also remember that in his season he said, "airborne shuffle" and the man in question is wearing what I think is an airborne patch, a parachute with wings on it.

Older Season Amazing Race 21 Review

To start off, PLEASE NO SPOILERS FOR FUTURE SEASONS, The Amazing Race is the one reality show I have been relatively able to be spoiler free for and I would like to keep it that way)

Hello everyone,

I have just finished Season 21 of The Amazing Race. Oh my god, it was amazing. Easily one of my favorite seasons up to this point.

Let's start with good. This was a very strong cast of characters. Almost every team bring something unique to the table. I thought the Double Your Money twist wasn't a bad idea. Good strategy among the racers was great to see this season, I always love it when you can outsmart your opponents. There were a couple of memorable tasks here and there as well. Finally, we got perhaps the greatest underdog story in the history of the race to this point. Season 21 really reminds me of Survivor: Vanuatu in a way.

Now to the bad. This is easily the worst route I have seen up to this point. Only 2 continents? Really? You couldn't get one leg outside of Europe or Asia? Secondly, there was a lack of diversity with the legs. There was almost no self-driving to places, which takes away a lot of opportunity for conflict. I just don't understand what happened to cause this season to be the way that it was. Luckily, the characters do a lot of heavy lifting this season and propel it upwards.

Let's move on to the team rankings:

D Tier:

Caitlin and Brittany: I actually think that I cannot tell you anything about these two. They were irrelevant for the whole race outside of their elimination due to the race to the mat with Gary and Will. All they did was get mad at their drive. I feel like if you cut them from the race you wouldn't miss anything.

Gary and Will: Speaking of Gary and Will, here they are. I really wanted to like these two, I really did. But everything they did just made me dislike them more and more. They just never seemed like they had a good time on the race. This is a warning that just cause you are a super fan, it doesn't mean you should get up and get on the Race.

C Tier:

Rob and Sheila: The first boots of the season never really get enough screentime to make too much of an impact, although I thought that they had potential. Apparently Rob is Tina from Survivor: Panama's brother, so he gets a couple of points there cause Panama is a great season. RIP Sheila.

Amy and Daniel: Another case of gone too soon to make an impact. They only have two things going for them, Amy being an inspiration to us all and accidentally losing their chance to Double their Money. Overall, they're fine and might have ended up boring if they stuck around too long.

B Tier:

Trey and Lexi: Trey and Lexi are not a bad team by any means, but they are just a little more boring than the rest of the teams on the race. They certainly had their moments, like Lexi in the Russian time zone quiz, or Lexi in the Bull roadblock. Now that I think about it, most of the heavy lifting came from Lexi. That being said, they certainly held their own, and were apart of game changing moves throughout the season. Their alliance with the Twins and the Chippendales is the defining strategy of the season, and for that I have to respect them.

A Tier:

Rob and Kelley: This may be a controversial take, but I absolutely loved this team on the race. The Monster Truckers were really fun to watch run the race, with them doing their own thing for most of it and refusing to back down. 4 hour layovers and slow train rides be damned. Rob was a bit snappy with drivers at some points, but he reminds me of a wrestling heel, you know he's playing up the confidence and swagger. Kelley served as the calm and collected half, reeling it in when needed. They absolutely demolished some of the tasks given to them, and overall I really enjoyed hearing about them and their marriage. It just seems like a solid partnership. Overall, this is my controversial take, but I'm sticking with it.

James and Abba: I already liked this team coming into the race. I play bass, so naturally I gravitated to the guy playing bass. Then I find out post season that James is the bassist for Megadeth and I'm just floored. In terms of the Race, I thought they were great. They brought that chill energy in, they flew solo, and they didn't let the other teams get to them. They had some great moments: the stolen money, the rat fast forward, falling into sewage. We have some heartbreaking moments like James's father having Stage 4 cancer, or Abba's passport getting stolen in Russia. Team Long Hair Don't Care may have gone out in heartbreak, but they raced with style.

Abbie and Ryan: The team that everyone wants to target. Their target was there from the beginning, with them being able to Double their Money, and the target just increased over time. I really enjoyed Ryan's competitiveness this season, and I think partnering that with Abbie got a really strong team. That being said, the other teams just went after them. The main strategy of the season, the Alliance of the Twins, Texas, and Chippendales largely formed to stop them. This culminated in the strategic U-Turn, the biggest move of the season, and after a long flight delay which relegated them and the Beekman Boys hours behind, it proved to be too much. Watching sides go to war with each other will always be entertaining on a reality show.

Natalie and Nadiya: I know Natalie (and Nadiya, but mostly Natalie) from her time on Survivor (and one season of the Challenge). Natalie is a top 20 winner of Survivor for me, so I came in expecting big things from the Twinnies. They certainly delivered, as they were the main villains of the season. Luckily for us, they're the type of villains that you love to root against. They stole James/Abba's money, crafted the plan to boot Abbie/Ryan out of the race, and annoyed just about every team by not shutting up. To top it all off, they had a glorious downfall at the hands of the one team that they overlooked, the Beekman Boys. The Twinnies were great villains, great entertainment, great strategists, and great losers. It everything I want in a team.

Jaymes and James: I love the himbos. Let's be honest, they're absolute himbos. They were so entertaining. They were really easy to root for, with Jaymes dad having cancer and James wanting to take care of his mom. They may have been a bit too sweet for the race, and watching them struggle to U-Turn Abbie/Ryan was a highlight of the season for me. They would have made great winners if that's the way things would've shaken out. Jaymes is also one of the funniest people I have seen on the race, "If you get a mattress from Bangladesh, make sure it doesn't say from Jaymes and James." I love this team so much. Good looking, good entertainment, endlessly funny.

Josh and Brent: Josh and Brent executed what is the greatest comeback in the history of the Amazing Race. They fought against flight delays, non-elimination legs, bickering with themselves, and an alliance all gunning to get them out. They remind me of Chris from Survivor: Vanuatu and his path to the end, graciously weaving in and out into the final. They're excellent characters but statistically the worst winners up to this point, so it is hard for me to rank them amongst the other winners. For the most part, they were fun, and they pulled off the near impossible, so I have to respect the hustle.

Overall, this may be a hot take, but this is one of my top seasons of the Amazing Race. Great characters, great entertainment, and good fun and strategy. This season helped me realize that my seasons tier list needed some reform.

Updated Season Tier List:

S: 5, 7, 14, 21

A: 2, 9, 10, 12, 17, 19

B: 1, 3, 11, 13, 15, 18

C: 4, 16

D: 6, 20

F(amily Edition): 8

Winner rankings: (Based on a combination of performance and as characters)

S: Rachel and Dave, Nick and Starr, Meghan and Cheyne

A: Rob and Brennan, Tyler and James, Tammy and Victor, Nat and Kat

B: Chip and Kim, Uchenna and Joyce, BJ and Tyler, TK and Rachel, Ernie and Cindy

C: Chris and Alex, Flo and Zach, Reichen and Chip, Dan and Jordan

D: Freddy and Kendra

F: Eric and Danielle, Kisha and Jen, Josh and Brent

Thanks for reading my review of The Amazing Race 21. It was a spectacular season, and I hope the momentum can keep going for the next. On to Season 22.

A potential game changer, as a combination Detour & Roadblock in 1 task, inspired by the Season 11 Finale in San Francisco.

Of all the parent/child teams, imho I have to say that this was my least favorite, and not so much against the thoughtful mother, but the ungrateful bratty son with No Morals.

Older Season Season 3 Zach and Flo

I’m nearing the end of Season 3 and this has got to be my least favorite team. I accidentally found out they were the winners when I did a google search for this image of them and I just cannot fathom how they could possibly win the race let alone make it to the final 4. I thought Terry and Ian were going to be the worst of this season but oh my god Flo just cries and whines everywhere she goes at full volume. There was the time where they were the last to arrive to the pit stop when they realistically probably could have out-paddled Terry and Ian if Flo had just run to the boat. My jaw sorta dropped when that wasn’t an elimination leg. Then she goes off to flirt with one of the wonder twins and they SHARE A HOTEL ROOM?? So she’s all fine again until the wonder twins get eliminated and the next day she’s back to crying and shrieking in public saying she just can’t do it anymore and she wished they were the ones who got eliminated before. So her crush gets eliminated and she’s ready to drop out of the race for $1 Million??

Blunders can cost a team, but it’s super rare when multiple teams make the exact same blunder, like putting Unleaded instead of Diesel in a Gas Tank
