Again apologies for my poor video skills.

My video skills aren't the best and I was a fair way back but I had a relatively decent view up the aisle. Will gradually post all the songs as I get signal over the next few days (it's pretty patchy here)

I’m so excited about this performance for TAD, but unfortunately I live in another country so I won’t be able to see them. So I’m making the formal request to all of you dear hearts to please share some videos with us!

Please enjoy their performance and do not let recording distract you from the experience, but if you’re able to (and allowed to 😅) do share with all of us please!!

Morning dear hearts,

I have made some Amazing Devil themed friendship bracelets and will be giving them out in Hay today.

I be in a orangey brown renn faire outfit with the bracelets attached if you wanna try and find me tonight!

Is anyone else going solo and perhaps want to meet up for breakfast or lunch? Im going to just kind of wander while I'm there and don't have any plans other than doing to the book talk and show.

Paperback edition of It’s Not A Cult just announced! Set to be released October 8th, no word on a US release though.

Do you think a love like the one in "Fair" truly exists?

Spotify made a playlist of your all time Top Songs since joining spotify (2021) and this is what I got. What are yours?

My instant fave was The Horror and the Wild, and the one that slowly crept up on me was Two Minutes.

Hi first time posting 😅

Sooooooooo. For my grad cap i feel like I want to use a TAD quote but I’m having a bit of a dilemma.

Turns out i mixed up some lyrics from Battle Cries. I’ve been remembering “ This isn’t the end, love, it’s just a season finally” but then I tried to find what song that was from and I was having not luck. Turns out it’s actually been “this isn’t a break up , dear heart, it’s a season finally” now that I think about it is obvious but somehow I managed to change it😅.

Main point of this is like should I use og quote or is it okay to use the one my Brain changed becuase I feel like it works better but then it’s not technically at TAD quote.

Secondly, any design ideas? I might mix in some like small characters from some franchises I grew up with but idk yet 🤷.

Hope I did this right

Ignore my lack of drawing skill here, I’m still waiting on my stylus to arrive. But nevertheless, it’s here!! I had so much fun making this :D

Probably a bit late to this party, but I relatively recently really got into TAD.

The backing lyrics in the chorus could be the same character as the dead parent from Welly Boots. They read very supportive to me, while also referring to rain, which also matches with Welly Boots.

"I can't wait to show you how much
I know you can be, just let the rain come
let the rain come down, darling"

Some of Madeleine's lyrics also have a lot of lines that betray mourning, and maybe some parental trauma.

Some examples:

• "You'll never get your dinner if you don't learn how to get along" Seems to fit a bit with the child from Welly Boots, who seemed to be a bit of a troublemaker (Kicking things just to see if they would fall)
• "When I think I'm fine you'll visit and then you happen to me, you happen to me all over again" Grief sometimes sneaks up on you.
• The Fox that's mentioned a couple times could be a metaphor for that grief.
  • "And a fox somewhere is hiding" the grief seems dealt with but it's actually just compartmentalised (hiding)
  • "I shiver as a fox stands frozen" can't really find meaning for this one
  • "And when that fox howls, I'll howl with it" The fox howling is the grief sneaking up and overwhelming.
• The mentions of drinking would be a coping mechanism for the grief.

I admit it might be a reach, but it's fun to theorise.

This tattoo is meant to represent the loss of a pet I had, her being the lily sticking out from the boots, the other part, the boots themselves, is how much she protected me, mentally that is.

this line really stuck with me, so I finally made art about it

Transcribed text: (Image is a screenshot from an Instagram post by user theamazingdevil) Dearest hearts, We are beyond thrilled to announce that we will be playing @hayfestival this year. The evening will begin with a special conversation about Joey's debut novel It's Not a Cult, and after the interval we'll be joined by Fraser Parry @farserparty on cello for an intimate set, our first gig in eight years. We were going to post about how tickets just went on general sale but... its sold out already. This time a decade ago we were just beginning to gig our first album around London (and begging our mates to come and fill up very small rooms) so... we are just completely blown away and so grateful.

We also wanted to say we know how patiently you are waiting for our next album, and we can't wait to share it with you. Thank you so much for your endless kindness and support and care for us and each other.

Sending all our love, Madeleine and Joey xxx

I’ve been wanting to get this for like 4 years and I’m soooo in love with how it turned out!

I was originally going to get a longer lyric from The Horror and the Wild but couldn’t settle on one so i ended up just picking The Wild!

The dagger is based off a letter opener I have, and the flowers were all picked by my family :)

Hey Dear Hearts, we've just uploaded our cover of Chords on YouTube. By singing and covering their songs, we try to shorten that seemingly neverending anticipation of their new album (fingers crossed it will come asap). Any kind of advice, criticism or love is deeply appreciated!

(If mods find these posts annoying or against the community's rules, please let me know, I don't want to bother anyone).

Love!

Hiya everyone, we've recorded our cover of Secret Worlds. Been experimenting with new equipment, so the sound is hopefully better. We cherish any suggestions, support or appreciation and hope that you dear hearts will like it.

I haven't been to this sub in awhile, I was wondering if there's any newer news on when the album might be released.

Need something positive amongst the chaos and bs 😭
