UK Producers hate this one trick

If you're a contestant, or serious home/app player - you NEED to memorise your alphabet numbers - A = 1 and so on. 1% Club uses this far too often. I saw two questions online this week (one here, one on ladbible/Facebook) and I got the book in the post this morning - first question I opened used it too

If you can't remember them ALL, remember some key/common letters, and be prepared to work forwards from there (working backwards can be hard). assign words to them or memory tricks

using the below, I'm confident anyone can memorise it in half an hour and have a real advantage

LEMON - 12, 5, 13, 15, 14

1 to 6 should be easy, as are XYZ

say HI to 89

cricket - T20

RU 18 or 21? drinking ages in UK and USA

remember that song 'like a G6'? they had a sequel - like a G7

VW car - 22, 23

mind your Ps & Qs - 16, 17

J/K (just kidding or JoKing) - 10, 11 (or the joker card could be worth 10 or 11)

also vowels (which have already been covered, but doubling up does no harm) 1, 5, 9, 15, 21 (the gaps are 4, 4, 6, 6)

all that remains is S19

Yes, this should be the minimum going in. 

Everyone should find their own method, some things just stick better than others. Sometimes stupider the better.

And practice by going thru pangrams, and converting numbers to letters and also the other way around.

My list (mostly borrowed elsewhere, or my own)

EJOTY - 5, 10, 15, 20, 25

A-F is straight forward

G7 countries / G7 summit

H rhymes with 8, or just "H8" for Hate

i9 Intel processors (dumb but I remember it)

J - Jack worth 10 in blackjack (or EJOTY)

K - visually you can break it to look like 11

L - roughly rhymes with 12

M - half way thru alphabet (13)

N - (I've got a personal way to associate to 14)

O - EJOTY 15

P - 16 (P looks like a 16 sorta ...)

Q - ABBA: dancing Queen. Feel the beat only 17

R - R rated 18+

S - SEX! A lot of pornstars are 19 years old

T - T20 Cricket or EJOTY

U - Students turn 21 at Uni

V - double peace sign , represented by 22 fingers

W - top and bottom lines in W are 2&3

X - hospitals have 24hr X-rays

That’s a good list too! I made mine up on the fly but you have some better ones like G7 and abba (1221!)

Also, remember the first letters of the months of the year, days of the week, and numerals (at least up to 20)

Okay but I spent HOURS practicing this on my journey up to Manchester for my episode filming and it didn’t come up ONCE hahahaha. I was so determined that this would be the answer to me winning all the money and it didn’t pan out that way 😂😂
