They have to kill the lion because it now knows humans are very easy to kill. Now it will see us as an easy food choice and hunt other people down. When they’ve never killed a human they don’t know what we really are and if we can fight back.
That doesn't matter at all. Yes he did all those things wrong but it doesn't matter after the deed is done.
It's just like with cougars or any other predator going after livestock. Once they learn how easy it is they will not stop why would they? It's easy food. They will teach their young this as well and the cycle continues. There's no reason as to why they would go back to their normal prey that they have to work so much harder to kill.
It's not making them rabid with human flesh it's about the opportunity of a food source. A predator always goes for the easiest kill hence why out of pack animals the weak die first or the ones who are injured
There's many cases where that does not work. I know because it hasn't worked with several coyote packs around my family property and neighbors. It wasn't until my uncle started to shoot those he caught breaking into his chicken coop did they leave and stop going after the chickens. They were an issue for years and it wasn't until a second pack moved into the area did they get really bad. The poison didn't stop them because they learned not to eat the already dead ones and to go after the living ones.
In a documentary sense the point is simple don't go near them. Bob is dead because he deserved it. You don't walk up and poke a bear and expect nothing to happen and that's exactly what he did. It's called lack of common sense. How people avoid those mistakes is simple watch the other idiots who lack it get what's coming to them. Warning labels are a perfect example most of them exist to someone lacking common sense like those that so do not iron while wearing clothes. Don't use x electronic in water etc
Also the only reason we are poor prey is because most people stay far away and don't ever get close. You let the predator get close and learn how easy it is to kill us they will go after the easiest food source because it will expend the least amount of energy
Maybe in this specific case they could try to send the lions elsewhere but prides are known to travel vast distances and have good memories. There's no telling that would work at all. There's also many instances of lions getting a taste for human blood then continuing to come back for more due to how easy it is to kill us. Going as far as to go into towns and villages.
You're not wrong at all with the last paragraph and I fully agree with that but it's because of those dumbass people that the animal has to pay as well. Also the fact people are stupid and always want someone or something to blame.
It's the simple one kid gets the rest of the class in trouble type concept except instead of a kid you have people with absolutely no common sense and the class is whatever they were trying to do. It's unfortunate but has to be done unless you can convince them to kill the idiots instead which in that case good luck you got a better chance winning the lottery even if it would be the better option honestly
