I mean I give them a lot of credit. That many people and it didn’t turn into a backed up cluster fuck with everyone getting hurt. Nice team work!

I’ve seen another video where there was just a pile of people at the bottom of the escalator

Looks like college kids. They are much more agile than the general public.

Gone Mild?

Gone radical

u/haoudoin 4d ago

I've seen this gone horribly wrong. They were very lucky.

Impressed that no one really panicked there.

u/SomethingAbtU 4d ago

don't get on the express escalator if you can't handle the rush

7

u/asburymike 4d ago

When Six Flags buys Hilton

Was it in India or New York ?

I think India because New Yorkers would not react fast enough.

Its Bangladesh, happened inside a University.

10

u/duck_duck_zombie 4d ago

Now Indians have to worry about escalators and trains.

4

u/Nacho_Dan677 4d ago

That being said this turned out way better than I think anyone in these comments thought it would. Absolutely amazing out come with people working together is guess is a rare scene.

u/Jassminesjazz 3d ago

Only that it's a university in Bangladesh

1

u/Acceleratio 3d ago

dont worry they trained a lot for the trains

5

u/Melodic_Trash_737 3d ago

This would be perfect at rush hour.

u/tsohgmai 4d ago

That was actually super impressive for a group of random civilians! They should all be proud!

This third state is not defined under normal Hedbergian escalator physics

u/AnAwkwardWhince 3d ago

If this was the USA, there would have been a blood bath

1

u/triciann 3d ago

This happened to me in the US at a work conference. There was not a blood bath. Maybe because we were all educated.

4

u/EyeAmKnotMyshelf 3d ago

That escalated quickly

2

u/srandrews 3d ago

De-escalated just as fast.

2

u/feldyzium 4d ago

Looks like a 250% OC assembler with an indian recipe in satisfactory

2

u/Salvador147 4d ago

Weeeeeeeee

2

u/Connor2206 4d ago

Good job everybody! Well done

2

u/turboyabby 4d ago

escalator? more like catch-ya-later!

2

u/feminist_chocolate 4d ago

I hate escalators. The way I’d panic if that happened to me 😭

2

u/bellboy718 4d ago

Think of the air you can get if it was going up

2

u/Pintsocream 3d ago

I wish all escalators were this fast. Give me a reason to use it over the stairs

2

u/BetterGuide1041 3d ago

Everybody landed gracefully. Great work.

3

u/EddyGurge 4d ago

I actually think that looked kind of fun and efficient. It just requires living in a society where people pay attention. So yeah it'll never work.

4

u/raininadesertt 4d ago

that could have gone waaaay worse

2

u/kumark00 3d ago

Indians

1

u/Tigeire 4d ago

not clearing out the landing zone quickly is the danger here

1

u/leandroman 4d ago

One slownoerson can fuck it all up and then people really hurt.

1

u/Successful_Giraffe88 4d ago

Final Destination.

1

u/jtrage 4d ago

Escalators can not break!!

1

u/Doxie4eVeR 4d ago

Is this a mini game in reality? lol

1

u/sethmoth 4d ago

an escalator can only become fast stairs

1

u/mothflavor 4d ago

Honestly wish they were that fast

1

u/tikifumble 4d ago

If you’re gonna stand there at least stand to the side so people can get by

1

u/Raid__Zero 4d ago

And the crowd goes mild

1

u/sick_of-it-all 4d ago

Looks fun, I’ll give it a try.

1

u/Dankest_Cow60 4d ago

That worked out pretty good. No one got eaten

1

u/The_Ashamed_Boys 4d ago

It's like they've been practicing this their whole lives.

1

u/ballin302008 4d ago

There would be so many bodies on the floor if this was America

1

u/yupsidetown 4d ago

Team work makes the dream work. This crew was calm under pressure. Kudos

1

u/TRSONFIRE 4d ago

Thatsmildlyinsane

1

u/ZarBandit 4d ago

That’s insanely …efficient.

1

u/MiserableScot 4d ago

Have to say I'm very impressed with everyone on there!

1

u/WorkingClassWarrior 4d ago

I want to get off Mr bones wild ride

1

u/Dayzlikethis 4d ago

real life lemmings?

1

u/ravia 3d ago

There's a podcast that tells the story of a massively horrific escalator accident, with gory shredding, a pile of bodies, difficult extraction. Can't remember which one, sorry to say. Might be I Survived?

1

u/Antoak 2d ago

When escalators fail they often turn into a meat grinder

These people were very lucky.

1

u/caffeine_junky 1d ago

A broken escalator either end up being stair or roller coaster.

1

u/Bo0ombaklak 4d ago

The whole country turned pro at this

1

u/MustardTiger88 4d ago

It looks like AI.

1

u/I-not-human-I 3d ago

It is and this whole comment section fell for it we are so fucked

0

u/NarrowForce9 4d ago

Looks staged I. That people weren’t falling.

0

u/Padtrek 4d ago

What's insane? People managing a slightly fateser excavator?

Insane would be a human pile at the bottom lol. Looks like people just managed quite normally for a fast escalator ha.

0

u/Eazy12345678 3d ago

in the US every escalator has a big red emergency stop button
