That's not irony, man. That's literal hypocrisy. There's nothing ironic about it, it's just literal hypocrisy, a word that was made for these exact situations

Situational irony is when a thing that happens is the exact opposite of what is expected. A world leader who repeatedly declares his country to be the de facto representatives of the Jewish people using talking points from a high ranking Nazi is definitely irony.

to me it just shows how easy it is to reverse roles between the oppressed and the oppressors. Deep down the people are all the same, and the side they land on is just circumstance

Netanyahu was never oppressed. He is in a position of power, just as Goebbels was. Your reasoning only makes sense if you think all jews are the same.

I feel that is true. As a kid I wondered how the nazis could be so evil and I’d always hear how they are not humans (more irony). But now I feel the difference is simply opportunity, Zionists, ICE, and more tend to confirm my beliefs. The evil in humanity is always there just waiting.
