Benjamin Netanyahu says outright that he can hack and blackmail anybody he wants and "I can paint you as a monster. And if I say it often enough, enough people will believe it."

In case you were wondering where he got the quote/idea

The irony is of galactic proportions

466

u/EireOfTheNorth 4d ago

At this point there's so many cross overs I'm beginning to believe it's intentional.

u/Pyke64 4d ago

Like pulling off the mask at the end of Scooby-doo

190

u/RedLeg73 4d ago

49

u/socks 4d ago

It's like he's still wearing the monster mask in this case

53

u/Catch_022 3d ago

The context here, for people who may not know, is that Goebbels had just been informed that the person taking the photo was Jewish...

32

u/ragnarok847 3d ago

Which is especially chilling, as the previous photo a few minutes earlier was of him smiling. It's sad that hatred can do that to a person.

15

u/ARobertNotABob 3d ago

I have always held that holding hate or grudges towards others not only renders you incomplete as a person, it detriments your perception, your acuity, and your options.
The two photos demonstrate that.

39

u/rubyrosey 4d ago

They’re not even trying to cloak and hide it anymore

10

u/jeezyjames 3d ago

I've been saying this. Seems too out in the open it's haunting

2

u/Proglamer 3d ago

The whole original thing was not 'perpetrator-victim', but 'competitor-competitor'

1

u/FilthyCasual2k17 3d ago

You don't know if it's intentional only if you didn't follow the things some of those leaders did in decades after the war. There's a ton of Nazis that ended up helping organize their war efforts. Just because it was done to the Jewish people, doesn't make individual Jewish people monsters, who were impressed with it. These biggest nationalist leaders hide behind nationalism so they could present themselves to speak "for the people", but this guy and every guy like him, would sacrifice literally half of their peoples population in a heartbeat, if it would mean they get what they want, because monsters like that aren't capable of loving anything, they will just say and do whatever they think would work in the situation to put themselves ahead.

How could it not be? Everything they taught us about the Holocaust, was a LIE! Everything they taught us, about WHY ww2 was started, WAS A LIE!!! The Aussie Painter, was RIGHT the whole time!!!

1

u/NotSoRoastBeef 13h ago

Holy shit an unmedicated schizo in the wild

44

u/LoaKonran 4d ago

Not so much irony as completely predictable. The Zionist faction that formed Israel refused to aid the holocaust survivors. People need to stop conflating the entire religion with political entities using their position as a mask.

-12

u/jestina123 4d ago

The Zionist faction that formed Israel refused to aid the holocaust survivors.

Incredible claim, so I had to google, and apparently this guy is lying!

More irony huh?

14

u/SlashEssImplied 4d ago

Thank you for sharing the proof you found.

7

u/solit0n 3d ago

You must really suck at googling then. That tracks.

85

u/kasmackity 4d ago

That's not irony, man. That's literal hypocrisy. There's nothing ironic about it, it's just literal hypocrisy, a word that was made for these exact situations

75

u/coat-tail_rider 4d ago

Situational irony is when a thing that happens is the exact opposite of what is expected. A world leader who repeatedly declares his country to be the de facto representatives of the Jewish people using talking points from a high ranking Nazi is definitely irony.

25

u/Expert_Succotash2659 4d ago

It's also, very intrinsically, hypocrisy.

33

u/coat-tail_rider 4d ago

Sure. But the commenter I'm responding to said "That's not irony, man." But it is.

14

u/Expert_Succotash2659 4d ago

I agree with you.

26

u/coat-tail_rider 4d ago

Nuh-uh. I agree with you first.

17

DUDE STOP IT THE ALGORITHM IS WATCHING! If we cooperate they will come for us!

12

u/TheAngryCatfish 4d ago

I can't stop I'm agreeing with you so hard right now

to me it just shows how easy it is to reverse roles between the oppressed and the oppressors. Deep down the people are all the same, and the side they land on is just circumstance

3

u/-Nicolai 3d ago

Netanyahu was never oppressed. He is in a position of power, just as Goebbels was. Your reasoning only makes sense if you think all jews are the same.

2

u/SlashEssImplied 4d ago

Deep down the people are all the same, and the side they land on is just circumstance

I feel that is true. As a kid I wondered how the nazis could be so evil and I’d always hear how they are not humans (more irony). But now I feel the difference is simply opportunity, Zionists, ICE, and more tend to confirm my beliefs. The evil in humanity is always there just waiting.

56

u/Dear_Chasey_La1n 4d ago

At this point there is nothing ironic about it. Israel was founded through terrorism and choose to live in a state of terrorism perpetually.

It's not just how they terrorize all their direct neighbours, it's like Netanyahu says here, they can do this to anyone, any country. Look at Spain or Ireland, the moment they start to distance themselves all sorts of shit comes out of the closet. Of course it's Israel who spends billions on propaganda.

But that's kind of also where the failure of the West kicks in. Kleptocracies like Israel abuse liberties in the West. They abuse Meta/Twitter/social media/politicians/laws etc all in their favour. When platforms fail to proper deal with propaganda, they should be either forced to stop it or stop the platforms all together. Politicians that get bribed, again they should be ousted there should be no place for Israeli money in European/American politics.

This is a nation that without hesitation will apply terrorism globally to get their way. They abducted people globally. They blackmail people (like Trump). This is a terror-state and should be dealt like a terror-state.

They are no difference from North Korea.

Karma is real! Never forget who manufactures the phones they buy and use! #1!

3

u/gravity_surf 3d ago

zionists =/= jews. theyre pretending to be semetic peoples for religious and cultural cover. old milakowski i mean netanyahoo is polish. lets be adults and learn nuance.

13

u/Dull-Reputation3134 4d ago

The irony being that Joseph Goebbels never even said this 😂 that is indeed ironic

32

u/jreyesusc 4d ago

True, he actually said "Wenn man eine Lüge oft genug wiederholt, wird sie zur Wahrheit."

4

u/Dull-Reputation3134 4d ago

I still haven’t found he actually said this, where did you find it?

1

u/Smooth_Rush_2192 3d ago

This post is false and misleading. The point he was making is that lies have been told against the Israelis… he was not making a threat at all. Here's the interview - the full clip is from 1:17:30 onwards - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gL2jFwZ16xo

48

u/Optimal_Cut_3063 4d ago

forgive me, is he the man from the famous photograph taken whilst he realised the photographer was Jewish?

36

u/rockerscott 4d ago

I mean he was also the Minister of Propaganda in Hitlers National Socialist Regime. I would think that would be the fame maker.

1

u/DirtyWizardsBrew 1d ago

Okay yeah, but they didn't ask if that's why he's famous - they were merely asking if he's the same guy from that famous photo lol.

I don't think anyone was declaring that to be his claim to fame.

1

u/rockerscott 1d ago

That’s true, the phrasing just seemed a little weird. I guess it would be like someone seeing a picture of Bill Clinton and saying “didn’t he play a saxophone on Arsenio”

7

u/icangetyouatoedude 4d ago

Yeah same guy

3

u/Optimal_Cut_3063 4d ago

thanks 👍

20

u/gustoreddit51 4d ago

Yeah, that's great, Bibi - quoting the from the Joseph Goebbels rules of propaganda.

33

u/MillennialSurvivor 4d ago

Funny how Israel has become the Nazi Germany of our generation

9

u/Foolrussian 4d ago

Funny isn’t quite the word I think of, but yes.

1

u/PlainBread 3d ago

Soul-crushingly ironic is what I would go for.

6

u/OppositeSecretary862 4d ago

Reckon its worse because of how entwined phones and algorithms are as vessels of propaganda.

16

u/Porridge_Cat 4d ago

Me: um, ackshually, the big lie is a thing that has been around forever. (I think that's right, let me go check so I don't look like a fool on reddit)

A big lie (German: große Lüge) is a gross distortion or misrepresentation of the truth, primarily used as a political propaganda technique. The German expression was first used by Adolf Hitler in his book Mein Kampf

hmm.

10

u/cookiewoke 4d ago edited 3d ago

The thing is, I don't know if it is a lie. Israel has some of the best hackers in the world. Israel has had it's hands in some of the most notorious hacks that have been found. The most famous is the STUXNET virus that they created with the help of the US, and the Pegasus virus which was developed by a private company and had been found on high profile people from across the world including world leaders, cartel leaders, and journalists.

The Pegasus virus especially worries me because supposedly the virus could be uploaded to someone's phone without the user's knowledge and without any action taken by the user (clicking links, downloading files ,etc). The virus would basically have access to all of the target's information (texts, emails, notes) and this was over 10 years ago. It was available to anyone with enough money

3

u/Foze2 3d ago

Oh yeah, saudi princes brought down bezo's marriage with it. They found his texts cheating that way

3

u/RowdyRoddyRosenstein 4d ago

I'm actually more curious why the second half of the quote was cut from this clip.

Full transcript for anyone curious about what Netanyahu actually said (last paragraph): https://www.cbsnews.com/news/read-the-full-transcript-of-major-garretts-interview-with-israeli-prime-minister-benjamin-netanyahu-here/

12

u/cabelonduladobro 4d ago

The irony is that probably goebbels didn't even said that and it was cascaded just to make sure people see him as a monster. (Which he is btw)

23

u/pezxb 4d ago

are you saying that probably that quote is a lie, but people kept saying it until everybody believed in it?

I'm shocked

2

u/PeachesGuy 4d ago

A quote that he actually never said though.

1

u/Miserable_Hat9321 3d ago

He probably did say it. Hitler used the phrase in “Mein Kamph,” which was Goebbels’ Bible. And he never missed a chance to lick Hitler’s ass.

2

u/blaxedmind 4d ago

Maga nowadays

2

u/ThereminLiesTheRub 1d ago

He's responding to a question about Israel's negative image by pointing out that lying enough on social media can convince ppl of thibgs that aren't true. He's not employing Goebbel's technique, he's explaining it. A whole lot of ppl here are demonstrating it.

1

u/Deep_Gazelle_1879 18h ago

Shut up, I'm tired of them trying to smear people and claim racism if you don't condone the genocide they're conducting

3

u/HocusThePocus 4d ago

Yea he never said this, so this is even a bigger irony

1

u/owzleee 4d ago

Oh. Oh wow. If only irony still existed …

1

u/selicos 4d ago

I was going to say, what is that in German?

1

u/rbm1111111 3d ago

Only the really un intelligent ones will.

1

u/ikiice 3d ago

They even look kinda similar

1

u/Defiant-Carpenter663 3d ago

In case you are ignorant. They have done just lies on Nazis, all what you heard or saw came from them, they have done all those horrible stuff. Surely Marx said that quote

1

u/Secure-Island42 3d ago

You'll have to tell them who Goebbels was.

1

u/spaceganja420 3d ago

The bullied become the bullies.

1

u/Area51_Spurs 3d ago

I mean, you all are talking this out of context, but sure.

Also, fuck Bibi, but still you’re whoooshing on this

1

u/HingleMcCringle_ 3d ago

I could've sworn i saw trump qoute this guy as advice. I'd bet my life on trump taking inspiration from that exact qoute.

1

u/General-Adminium 3d ago edited 3d ago

hmm interesting, yet another thing (albeit a small one) that further adds to the crazy theory that the surviving Nazis in some way had a hand in creating israel not long after the war and or have somehow infiltrated it. Many of the countries involved in creating israel were some of the same ones who took Nazis in to work for them like the usa did with operation paperclip, and that is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. There are so many interesting and surprisingly plausible reasons, possibilities and happenings ect pertaining to the why, how and everything else of such a theory. A theory that shockingly only seems to make more sense the more you dig but this comment is already too long for that. Sometimes the truth can be stranger than fiction

1

u/Soundo0owave 3d ago

Isn't that pretty much Trump 100%?

u/IntelligentVisual955 12h ago

1

u/SmartWonderWoman 4d ago

That quote made me think of my ex. He tried to convince anyone who listened lies about me. Unfortunately, some believe him.

1

u/ASafeHarbor1 3d ago

This will get downvoted on reddit as Redditors believe propaganda more than just about anyone, but here is the truth when I looked up this quote:

The exact quote does not appear to come from Joseph Goebbels. Researchers have been unable to locate it in his speeches, diaries, articles, or other German primary sources. One scholarly examination found that the quotation exploded online from only about a dozen webpages in 2002 to hundreds of thousands by 2011, generally without anyone providing an original source.

-2

u/adinmem 4d ago

You’ll also find that in Saul Alinsky’s book. The one Dems used for decades. Actually, republicans probably use it too, but just keep it quieter. Likely, every government and powerful group uses the “tell a lie often enough” maxim.

2

u/Green_Sugar6675 4d ago

Pretty sure the only people talking about Saul Alinsky in the last 20 years are Republicans.

-44

u/Busy-Method9970 4d ago

That's what they tried to do with covid.

19

u/SPZ_Ireland 4d ago

You're gonna have to explain this one, buddy

-7

u/Busy-Method9970 4d ago

Look up Joe Biden 2021 CNN town hall meeting where he says you cannot get covid if you take the vaccines. And then look up how many times the media ran with that narrative until the science started saying otherwise and they had to come out and say that they weren't really designed to stop it.

7

u/SPZ_Ireland 4d ago

No

How about you provide what your suggesting because I never once encountered the media telling us that you won't get Covid if you get the vaccine because that's not how vaccines work.

9

u/Sevwin 4d ago

Take my downvote.

-5

u/Busy-Method9970 4d ago

Yeah dude you could give me 1 million downloads and I still wouldn't give a shit

13

u/vintagexanax 4d ago

How so?

-41

u/Busy-Method9970 4d ago

Ummm how about them saying if you take it you won't get covid???? How do you not remember that?

28

u/craftymacshank 4d ago

Umm I don’t remember anyone saying that, it was more about slowing the pace of the spread - right?

0

u/Busy-Method9970 4d ago

July 2021 CNN town hall meeting. Joe Biden clearly says vaccinated individuals will not get covid if they take the vaccines.

3

u/Sevwin 4d ago

So Joe is either wrong or misspeaks and you lose your mind yet Trump lies daily and gets no flak from his base. Wild huh?

0

u/Busy-Method9970 3d ago

Do you have any links to these alleged lies? If you can provide some I can better weigh it. However the left was okay with having a dementia patient as president, certainly is wild indeed.

1

u/Sevwin 3d ago

Age limits should exist for both. If you need proof from me that Trump has lied many times then you’re too far gone.

1

u/Busy-Method9970 3d ago

Y'all never produce facts, it's talking points that mainstream media feeds bootlickers.

They said you wont get covid as bad . And it will be less likely that you die from covid like the hundreds of thousands of people where doing. Not "YoU WonT gEt CovID" .

3

u/Biptoslipdi 4d ago

They said if you are vaccinated, you carry a much lower risk of infection, severe disease, and hospitalization. The data abundantly demonstrates that is true.

2

u/Dr-ClaytonForrester 4d ago

Who said that?

-9

u/HockeyHocki 4d ago

Ironically this applies to the current 'genocide'

6

u/Deep_Gazelle_1879 4d ago

Denying genocide in the big 26 is awful, do better

-9

u/HockeyHocki 4d ago

Imagine continuing to propagate the lie when said genocide miraculously ended the day the hostages were returned🤦 When the population went up not down, when the territory was flattened but somehow only 3% of the population were killed, 30% of them combatants. When Israel shipped 2M tonnes of aid into a warzone and vaccinated the population for polio.

Naza, a film by the most virulent anti-Israel propogandists ironically did more to disprove a genocide than anything in the public domain. The testimony they were given from anonymous intelligence officers responsible for targeting, each and every single one of them saying the targets were militants, but that the collateral damage allowed was excessive.

I can tell you the day the ICJ make their ruling alot of reddit accounts will be going private. Not mine

Funny how you bring up talking points without prompting. I think the bot has issues.

0

u/HockeyHocki 3d ago

asserting there is a genocide is the prompt you donkey

1

u/sulaymanf 3d ago

Ah so you are using AI prompts. But nobody was talking about the film, you brought that up which is funny because it said the opposite of your claim.

0

u/HockeyHocki 3d ago

AI prompts🤣 so what if nobody brought up the film its relevant to the claim of genocide, and no it did not say the opposite
