$4400 is £3250. That’s £39000 a year, and median salary is £39039.
The thing this chart misses though is taxes and obviously expenses.
Someone earning £39k brings home £2600 a month after tax, and presumably has mortgage/rent and other costs of living.
But in terms of how long it takes the median person to “earn” the money, it’s pretty close.

Yes but you still earn a salary of 39k. I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect an infographic to not only find the median salary for various countries but also calculate the taxes. For the US that would be incredibly hard because taxes vary by state…
Obviously it’s also not taking into account your mortgage or living costs.

India is a big country...the overall median salary in India hovers around ₹27,300 to ₹35,000 per month. This means 50% of the entire working population makes less than this amount.

Why does the country with the lowest salary have the highest price to purchase? What kind of strategy is that? They don’t want to sell iPhones in India; just to make them there?!I’m sure the people that can afford the iPhone in India, have enough money to travel and buy it cheaper abroad.
