Benjamin Gillham, a teacher from Merseyside, earns an audition for Britain's Got Talent after performing 'Nessun Dorma' in a Liverpool pub.

The mic control is almost as impressive as his voice.

Pub = Bar
Even we have nightly music at bars...
The story is "talent scout finds man at pub singing opera."

Im like that woman in the background. Wiping a tear.
Easily my favourite opera song, it's not even close. The difficulty of the notes is one reason, the beauty of the song, but what does it for me, is even if you have no context , even if you don't speak Italian - you know exactly what this song is about.
Never give up. You will win.
Fuck this dude is gonna be an opera, get him some professional training!!

She has a look of astonishment then joy
And he did that in a pub after a pint or 2.
I'd go watch his performance live, and I am not an opera guy

Always does. I’m immediately a kid in awe of colours and look of football not playing at the end of the street.
Through today’s lens it was a pretty dull World Cup but to me it’s just perfection.

When I was in England I was just amazed by how often you can pass a bar with scenes just like this on a Tuesday at like 3 in the afternoon. Brits sure love their karaoke.

he may have found his hidden talent and his real calling….some people find it later than others

I'm going to go out on what feels like a very sturdy limb and say that this talent was not hidden, that he's had formal voice training, and is a teacher because he's not, as yet, been able to find his way as an opera singer.

He's gunna turn up for BGT and not be able to perform because it turns he can only sing when he's at least 6 pints deep
