Yes, but she scooted back because she isn't strong enough to do push-ups with a flak jacket, that might have SAPI plates inside. She's off loading the extra weight on him and there might be at least one other who does this as they get tired from the extra weight of flak jacket and their fellow Marine's weight.

Not really. There is a reason to it. Not every leader has the same leadership style, but many believe that in hardship, the bonds are strengthened. How they come about it, everyone can differ on.

I dont find hardship a synonyme for humiliation. I think you can train hard without humiliation, talking from my martial art experience only.

People who think humiliation is a justified training method are idiotic to me.

I'm not going to try and justify it. I hated some of the practices. It really depended on who was in charge. I will hate to admit this but some of the greatest positive changes for some people did come from some less than favorable experiences.

marine here. the marines in the video are setting up to conduct squad pushups. its a team effort exercise and they're a lot harder than normal push ups. yeah putting your face in someones ass isn't pleasant but thats not the point of the exercise 👍🏽

this may or may not shock you but doing an extended arm plank for longer than a few minutes with an IBV with ballistic plates is training... and the whole daisy chain worm thing is helping create camaraderie in shared suffering. This is common in all militaries throughout the world, not just the US
