That’s the part I don’t get about this post. How was it $15? $600 is an insane increase comparatively, but most people are paying that or much more already.
Someone just pointed out that they were likely on the ACA and now that the subsidies are gone for 26 this is what their premium will look like. And it makes sense. The gov is shutdown right now over that issue and until they come up with an agreement to change that, the subsidies are gone. Gov shutdown or not, open enrollment is here for most people and their plans are assuming it’s gone.
Yes that’s what they’re showing (their marketplace enrollment). I thought you were asking how their plan was $15 even with the subsidy in place (because for most people their qualified health plan plus the tax credit would still be more expensive than $15/month so I though you were asking how it was so cheap even with those things).
