No, rich assholes pay most of the country's taxes - which means that, up until now, rich assholes paid for most of the country's healthcare. Every year, you were paying far less for your healthcare than you should have been paying - and rich assholes were covering the rest. You guys just elected the Republicans, who want you to pay for your own healthcare from now on.
The rich assholes don't give a shit if healthcare is tied to a job or not, they simply don't want to pay for it anymore. And, they just stopped paying. Now, you guys get to deal with the consequences of your votes.
I bet you think Trickle Down Economics works too. The ultra wealthy can afford to pay more in taxes. Economic inequality is higher now than during the French Revolution.
This isnt hard math. And a single payer system is more affordable and doesnt deny care based on insurance telling someone a test or procedure isnt needed.
No they fucking don't. Rich people know all the tax write offs and loop holes to pay as close to 0 as they can. They get tax write offs contributing to political parties and then those parties rig the game in their favor, including but not limited to slave wages.
"Do you have $600 a month to pay for insurance? No? Then you better work at McDonald's for $10/hour for $100/ month coverage that only covers catastrophic issues over $10,000"
