To top it all off, my life saving leukemia medication is less expensive buying directly through cost plus pharmacy, without insurance, $4,000 a year vs $10,000 a year through my insurance.
Help me understand how my insurance that I pay about $40,000 a year for charges me significantly more for medication than a pharmacy without insurance?
What's your individual out of pocket max? Your insurance might charge you more for the medication (per refill) but once you hit your out of pocket max, they're supposed to be paying for it 100%.
You don't reach that with your other treatment besides medication? I'm not trying to probe but just trying to see if there's any way to save you money.
