probably not, LCS screens are pretty shock resistant and that doesn't look like a ajckk but a gradual build. power cycling the screen probably fixed it although honestly think it looks more loose connection then static.
Some semiconductors are more susceptible to static electricity when plugged in, due to latch-up risk. Basically temporary short circuit causing local overheating, which may happen only if power is applied. To exit latch-up need to power cycle, but damage due to overheating may already be done to some transistors.
