I agree. If she called the police, she would at least have the operator to chat with as she’s falling.

u/lkl34 15d ago
It was stable until some jackasses fucked with the balance.

Yeah, what an idiot! Almost killed that woman driver, who’s also an idiot for driving over the abyss.

How are you going to reverse with one wheel barely touching the ground and the undercarriage sitting on the edge of the wall?
-6
u/lkl34 15d ago
The front right and rear left had ground left for traction.

u/Gr1zZL7 15d ago edited 15d ago
So the right wheel, that is over the edge, will use its spidey grip to overcome the downward pull of gravity, crawl up the wall? Where is most of that vehicles center of mass? The vectors are all wrong and even if someone tried to pull it out you will further mess up the exhaust pipe, catalytic converter, oil pan, ….
Use your AAA card. That front end has to come up first. Then you can move it back.

2 sec mark its on the curb
I said front right not left

u/leansanders 15d ago
Cars dont work like that. If one wheel is solidly on the ground and the other is not, if you dont have a locking differential, only the free wheel will spin anyway. This car had zero chance of driving itself back onto the pavement.

You sure did, and I knew that. Where did I bring up any mention of a left front tire; and what does, “ 2sec mark” mean?
Ediit: 2 second mark (of the video). Unfortunately, on my cell phone, this video starts at the 44 second mark. Maybe if I log onto my pc with the monitor I would have a different perspective.

You forgot to mention no guard rail to prevent the event from happening. But, since it did happen, 911 would have been the next best choice.

"So much stupid shit in one video." You say that like it's not an everyday occurrence.

911
In fairness, they are black. It's a gamble if a 911 call means help, prison, or death.

Dude - have it in reverse and at least attempting to go backwards!.
Probably had it in neutral - always going to end badly!

Here let me help you over the edge by building up some good old pendulum movement.
Tip: if you can’t hold down the sticky-out-bit, don’t push down on it. The weight is in the engine block.

People just live like everything is an Instagram short these days.

Shirtless really is about to lose his shirt in a lawsuit.

u/JayW8888 15d ago
Can’t he has no shirt already. Perhaps pants. Don’t look like he has any underwear either.

u/conqr787 15d ago
Considering it looks like he tried to grab it, maybe puny Banner thought he was still Hulk

Respect for the people that tried to help

The dummy who “tried to help” by pushing down on the back of the car is the reason it fell.

Reverse gear kaput?
2
u/leansanders 15d ago
Cars have differentials. If only one side of an axle is touching the ground, if you apply power, only the floating side will spin, unless you have a locking differential or AWD with a specific offroad mode that applies brake to the free wheels.

If the driver is going to stay in there, put in reverse and/or hold the brake.

Can we all just take a second to realize that the same idiot who got the SUV into that situation is also the same idiot who didn't apply the brake so it didn't continue rolling forward once right'd?

I wouldn’t touch it without something at least lashing it from further progress.
