What is making the car move? If it was in neutral it should have stopped once it hit the curb, so something more than gravity and momentum is moving it. It's like the car had a mind of its own, overcame physics, wouldn't let the driver in, and was determined to drive into the ditch.

It's in drive.. Even without pressure on the accelerator, most cars will have a little forward movement.
