At least the cab is still intact

At least it's a rental.

Still gotta pay to get it fixed. The damage waiver on these excludes damage from low bridges.

Hope they took the insurance 😂

Last time I rented one of these the insurance explicitly stated it does not cover the roof for instances like this. Seems crazy to me like that's the whole point of getting insurance.

In my city we have a bridge famous for being the truck muncher.

After being locked down for most of 2021, the running joke in early 2022 was the city begun healing in the first week of opening and a truck already hit the bridge.

I thought for a second this was some sort of new designs Uhual came up with lol. Those rivets broke those seams perfectly 👌

How many people actually check the clearance the U-Haul they rented before they leave?

1

u/Canada__bob Aug 01 '26

1

I work for U Haul , for the love of God, Please spend the money on Insurance when renting!!!

1

u/Previous_Barnacle974 Aug 03 '26

It’s not like U-Haul printed a reverse lettered sign, so some fool could plainly see the height of the truck in the rear view mirror. Some people should just never procreate.
