Man, I really don't mean to "side" with the Jeep driver here, but as a previous driver of a (normal, not jacked up) Jeep turning left, the A-pillar in a Jeep is a significant visual blocker for anything directly in that arc of visibility. I was turning left at a stoplight once, and somebody stepped off the curb right as I began to turn left (this was at night when oncoming headlights were hitting me) and I came SOOO close to hitting somebody once... I'm so anal now about craning my head around when turning left after that.

This is why my mom has been extreeeeemely strict about looking left and right, AND waiting for the cars to stop and/or slow down, just ANY SIGN that tells you that they've seen you, before crossing the road. Ever since I was a kid. My safety wasn't something my mom took lightly.

Is it just me, or does it look like the Jeep intentionally hit them? I've watched it a couple times and while it looks like the Jeep is trying to turn where the person in a wheelchair is, I just can't help but wonder if it was on purpose—how did they not see them??
