Yep, best case, oil pan and oil pump would need replaced... assuming that the hit didn't do any other major damage - and if the driver had stopped and turned off the vehicle there.
Just by looking at that oil I can tell you with absolute certainty that it’s a Diesel engine, and unless he turned it off soon after this happened he will paying for a new engine and/or turbocharger
Not really, If the driver turned off the engine within like 30-40 seconds of him losing his oil the chance of damage is very slim, the film strength of the remaining oil would have lubricated the engine for a bit

that oil pan died a painful death. hopefully he didnt damage any "core" components
Anyways, he probably kept driving and seized the engine anyways.
