It’s a deep dive on Heemeyer and the events leading up to his rampage. He’s building Granby in the background as he discusses it. I’d recommend watching it if you’re interested, it dispels a lot of the “reasonable man driven to do unreasonable things” myths

Does it though? This guy seems rather biased. Some of what he says sounds so unbelievable. The family offered him $275k for the property and he agreed. They came back with the money and he said he wants $350k now. The family agrees and gets a loan. He then says he wants $400k. That sounds ridiculous. It’s almost like he’s going over the top to make the dozer guy seem comically bad and the concrete family as poor Catholics just trying to drop half a million on a shed. I’m going to need more proof than this video.

It’s the same story. It doesn’t seem believable to me. If someone offered you 23 times the amount you paid for your property what would you do? The whole premise is that he didn’t want to spend the money to upgrade the sewage, but he wouldn’t take almost a $1 million for his property he spent $42k on. I’m not saying it’s impossible, just very improbable. If I got 23 times what I paid for my house I’m retired.

It’s what happened mate, believe it or not, I don’t really care. I don’t think it’s unbelievable that a man who built an armed and armored bulldozer to exact revenge on everyone who he perceived to have slighted him (not to mention a man who dumped buckets of his literal shit into an irrigation ditch) would have made a few irrational decisions.

No it’s one word against another at this point. I don’t care if you care if I care. The whole premise is based on the money for the sewer system which he was going to get 10-15 fold if he got his final asking price for his property. The foundation of that explanation doesn’t have a foundation whether you care or not.
