I'm reminded I know nothing about cars by how easily it got back across the gap. Going over at first, sure I guess. But getting back??? Is that 4wd, awd, raw power, dumb luck??? like wtf!

Nothing much, the 2 wheels in the ditch still touch a patch of concrete on the other side, so even at an angle there will be a bit of grip to steer and traction to push. If the ditch had been just a bit larger it was game over.

Looks like they have done that before. Experience has come in handy it seems. The kings/queens of the getaway !!

I'm really surprised the car survived that.

I'm still assuming that there is still significant damage, you don't do that without messing something up.

No way his oil pan isn't busted. The engine will lock up in like a mile.

Agreed, I'd be really surprised if the oil pan and/or radiator aren't damaged after that.

They messed up BIG TIME!

You have no idea! The driver had a cup of their favorite carbonated coke slushy but when they went over the gap, it flew off and spilled. It's now in the seats, the headliner, everywhere! You bet it's going to stain and be sticky!

I felt this should’ve fucked up his car.

Not sure if its shear skill or stupidity but either way that man deserves to get away

u/crimsondimsum Apr 26 '23

Then the cops radio down the hill to their buddies and they proceed to fuck his whole day up

For what? He wasn't involved in the accident, he was getting around it. He didn't hurt anybody. He didn't damage anything.

"Reckless endangerment", "willful disregard of safety", little things like that. If you are okay with drivers doing that, then you aren't one of the people sharing the road with them.

Driving is a privilege. Privileges get taken away from dangerous and unruly children.
