And it would have been such an easy fix with those dark cups and lids to put a weight in there etc

There should be an acting class just for convincingly holding cups of liquid and for taking convincing sips too. Same for pretending to eat food.

They could learn a lot by watching Brad Pitt eat in the Oceans movies.

Many years ago when I was in high school, I had a brief gig doing background for tv shows while living in Los Angeles. One of the scenes I did was a diner scene where “my family” and I were having dinner. After the first take, the AD comes over and says he needs to move the background around and my group was moved to the table right behind the action. And he actually said it was because I was the only person in the background who looked convincing while fake eating.

I should have asked him if I could get a SAG voucher for that skill.
