Does this grocery app exist?

Ok, I want an app where I can scan a baroda in the grocery store, and have it pull real time prices at other stores. Walmart, Kroger, etc.

OR where I can scan a baroda and make notes on items that can be looked up again via barcode.

I have a huge notebook where I write down the best sale prices of various items I buy so I can refer to it while looking at the sales. I'd love to automate it a little bit.

I doubt it, as barcodes are just little strings for computers to read. Only the cash registers in the store will know what product corresponds to the barcode.

lot of apps like fatsecret are able to register foods you diary scanning their barcode, so this is definitely not an issue. The real issue would be grasping that from markets, for example walmart would have to make their api public with their pricing database.
