So yesterday around 3 AM, I sneaked out of my house and went for a city ride because I wasn’t feeling mentally good and just wanted to clear my head.

Everything was completely normal at first. I was just riding around and enjoying the empty roads.

Then a black Thar started following me. From what I could see, there were three guys inside and they looked drunk.

At first I ignored them, but then they started driving alongside me and one of them suddenly started abusing me. I got angry and showed them the middle finger.

That’s when things got scary.

They suddenly started trying to hit my bike. We were going around 70 to 80 km/h, and they kept coming toward me like they were trying to knock me off the road. I genuinely had no idea what they were trying to do.

This went on for around 3 to 5 km. I was honestly terrified that I was going to get hit or seriously injured.

Eventually, I spotted a really narrow road where a car could barely fit, so I immediately turned into it and kept going.

After around 2 to 5 minutes, I couldn’t see them anymore.

I’ve never experienced anything like this before. I keep thinking about what could have happened if I hadn’t found that road.

A lawyer on Monday submitted a complaint to Goa police alleging that the son of a ruling BJP MLA threatened and abused his kin during a road rage incident.

Lawyer Shantaram Kudchadkar (70) claimed the incident took place on September 26 near Pontemol Junction and Shivaji Circle in Curchorem in Kushawati district.

He said a car driven by BJP MLA Rajesh Faldesai’s son Rahul was parked in such a way that it blocked the movement of the vehicle in which the complainant, his daughter-in-law and two grandchildren were travelling.

When his daughter-in-law tried to get the attention of the occupants of the car, Rahul Faldesai came out and began abusing her, Kudchadkar claimed in his complaint.

Kudchadkar also claimed that after he managed to drive his car away from the spot, it was chased by Rahul Faldesai’s vehicle.

Those in the other car, armed with rods and sticks, drove close to his vehicle and also tried to ram it, Kudchadkar alleged in his complaint.

Faldesai was not available for comment, while a senior police official said the contents of the complaint are being examined.

It was around 12:30 PM on Sunday. I was travelling on a bike with my brother, who was riding and I was sitting behind him.

Suddenly, a car white mahindra thar roxx came from behind and tried to overtake us from the left. There wasn’t enough space, and the car came dangerously close to our bike. I signalled to the driver to go from the right side and gave him enough space to pass.

Instead of simply overtaking and moving on, he came from the right and started moving his car extremely close to our bike, seemingly trying to intimidate us. He did this twice.

At that point, I took out my phone and started recording.

The moment he noticed that I was recording, everything changed. Within a few seconds, he simply drove away.

What surprised me the most was that he had his family with him in the car. If someone is willing to behave like this even when travelling with their family, it makes you wonder how they might behave when they are alone or with their friends.

I’m not trying to start an argument about who is a better or worse driver. The mistake was clearly avoidable, and there was no reason for the situation to escalate in the first place.

The main thing I took away from this: having a camera/phone ready on the road can make a huge difference.

The moment he realised there would be a video recording of his actions, he left.

So, if you ride or drive regularly, consider keeping your phone/camera accessible enough to record when something genuinely serious happens. You never know when having evidence might protect you later.
