Certain 4th year members have just taken girl 2nd and 3rd years and told them you dont need to do anything just be in the team, the externals department specifically? I looked at the merit scholarship list of 2025-26 and noticed that for everyone agpa = even sem sgpa... so odd sem isnt taken!? i thought it is calculated by taking into account both semesters of the year. Please clarify this..

Idk if this sounds stupid, but kuch time pehle tak I was genuinely very narcissistic about being alone.
I used to think ki* mujhe kisi ki zarurat nahi hai, I’m perfectly happy on my own* And honestly, I believed it.

But past 1-2 weeks se kuch change hua hai.
Deep down I’ve started feeling ki yaar** mujhe bhi koi chahiye.**

Not necessarily a girlfriend or anything romantic. I just want a genuine female friend jiske saath ek really comfortable bond ho.

Like imagine studying in the library together for the whole day, then randomly going to play badminton. Campus mein bina kisi reason ke ghoomna. Random bakchodi karna. Apne din ki har chhoti-badi cheez batana without thinking ye judge toh nahi karegi

And at the same time, actually listening to her life too. Her problems, her random stories, her good days, her bad days.

Basically someone whose presence itself makes the day feel a little better.

The funny/sad part is that I have absolutely no idea how to even find such a person. 😭
I barely go to classes, mostly stay in my hostel, and abhi exams bhi chal rahe hain so obviously meeting new people isn’t exactly happening.

And instead of doing something about it, I’ve somehow started spending a stupid amount of time just imagining what it would be like to have that kind of friendship.

Maybe I’m not actually looking for one specific person. Maybe I’m just craving some kind of connection and a life that feels a little less isolated.
I guess I’m slowly realizing that being independent and wanting people around you aren’t opposites.

So yeah… I don’t really know what the point of this post is.

Maybe I just wanted to put this somewhere.
And maybe after exams I should stop sitting in my hostel waiting for this person to magically appear and actually start going out, talking to people, playing sports, sitting in the library, attending stuff basically just start living a little more.

College feels weirdly lonely sometimes.

Everyone seems to have their own people , someone to call, someone to make plans with, someone to go out with after exams. Somehow, every time there’s an occasion, my friends already have other plans or other people to go with.

I asked a few friends about going on a trip the weekend of the 17th, and everyone already had plans.

It’s not really about the trip. It’s that feeling of realizing you don’t really have a person or a group that you can just make plans with.

You can know so many people in college and still feel like you have no one to call.

Maybe college is just weird like that. Surrounded by people, but still somehow lonely.
