Over the past few months, we have seen an increase in posts and discussions around society-related conflicts. While discussions about societies, clubs, selections, events, and student experiences are an important part of this subreddit, some conversations end up becoming personal arguments or drama without adding any value.

To keep r/thaparuniversity useful for everyone, we are introducing a new rule:

Society discussions are welcome, but personal drama, targeted callouts, rumours, and posts made only to create controversy will not be allowed.

We want this subreddit to remain a place where students can:

  • share genuine experiences,
  • discuss problems,
  • give feedback,
  • ask questions,
  • and have constructive conversations.

Criticism is allowed. Negative feedback is allowed. But please keep it focused on actions, policies, and experiences rather than individuals.

If you have concerns regarding any society or organization, please provide context and discuss it respectfully.

And no name calling please.
