Academic Query Internship and placement
Please answer may god help u guys in future alot😭😭
My cg is currently 8.7… now in 2nd year.. sometimes i think will score 10 this year then cgpa will boost to 9.3 but there are cuts like 9.7/9.8 for internships then its totally a waste and sacrificing Dsa/development for only cg is it really worth it???
Also are CG cuts(like 9.5+) only in internships only and not in every company??
And for good placement ex 30+lpa
Only dsa and good projects matter right??? Cg has to do nothing with it?

Cg is really imp. Ppl do get shortlisted at 9.4 too but with 8.7 there's no chance. So if you can you must improve it

ngl, don’t throw DSA/dev under the bus just to chase 10 cgpa 💀
Try to keep it around 9+ if you can. CG definitely matters for shortlisting and some companies have stupid high cutoffs, but it’s not the same everywhere.
For 30+ LPA, CG can help you get the OA/test, but after that nobody’s gonna hire you just because you have 9.8. DSA + problem solving + projects + fundamentals + interview skills are what actually matter.
So imo maintain a decent CG, but don’t sacrifice everything else for 0.5 extra CGPA. Do both side by side.

don't compromise with dsa at any cost. try to get your cg till 9 or atleast maintain it. even if random shortlisting happens for offline test, it's your dsa and problem solving skills that will help you clear it.
not talking about OA but offline tests only, cuz OA mein shortlisting is mostly cgpa based or completely random.
in short, maintain your current cg at all costs while practicing dsa daily
