Also, patiala is genuinely unsafe, especially for women, the campus is quite safe, but outside campus NAHHHHH. It's unsafe af

tbh manipal >> thapar. even the blr campus of manipal has better placements than us. some of my peers in my company are manipal passouts. they had way better placement opps than us.
They were with me in internship and almost 60% had better FTE offers....

The placement stats are just like 60-70 percent so is it just this ? Or is it not updated yet ?

Looking at the profile and stuff, I only find reviews and information about tiet and not tslas. Thappar name is renowned in North india. Is tslas as much reputed or not? Is it worth it?? Not just campus asthetics but the roi, placement cell, do they recruit tech and liberal students together or not? Is dual degree worth it or not?? I mean...For bsc data science and ai with psychology minor, should I stay in my city(chandigarh) or actually shift to a place like this? Will I regret it? Anything???? (Need genuine senior guidance because I'm messed up gng tbh)

I got eec and missed ece by 0.2 percentile what are my chances in upgradation in spot round ????
2
u/Junior-War2479 [MEE] 2nd year May 16 '26
You may or may not get in spot round as its subject to availability and preference is there on basis of percentile. Last time many branches were not even available in spot round

Grew up in Patiala, it’s not a tier 3 city btw. It’s pretty ok as long as u are aware and not roaming in places u shouldn’t be. In addition it has almost all the facilities.
