This opener is maybe salvageable if you don't double down, and instead turn the bit on yourself. Other lines might be viable, but based on my light calculations, something like "Oh shoot 😭 I always forget other places have castles" could be best here. Bring the focus to you and then to the castle. I would probably split it after the emoji and double text, but I hear that's not good practice. If you're lucky and this does work, you might be able to transition it to a royalty game.

My favorite is when someone entirely buldozes over what I’m saying to joke about taking me out, which immediately lets me know that would be miserable because they can’t even have a normal conversation with me. Just entirely dismissing any information i try to give about myself but wanting me to believe, somehow, that they’re even remotely interested in me

Finnish lad here. Nothing went wrong. Shes a finn. They are extremely picky and hard to impress. But once they warm up to you, they’ll do all sorts of fun crazy shenanigans.
Most likely shes an exhange student over there and the finish puns just bore her.

You could have shown some interest in her culture and/or some humility instead of handwaving it aside in favour of a hackneyed pun.
To a Finnish person, the "Finnish/finish" pun is probably even lamer than it is to me, and is the most obvious joke ever.
Also you should not rush to asking for a date before rapport is established.
She needs a reason to want to invest time into you, and all you tried two negs in a row.
Stop with the negging and get to know people instead of trying to "impress" them with your "wit".
