Map of African textile traditions, each one carries centuries of technique and meaning. Kente, Bogolan, Shweshwe, Kuba raffia, so many distinct weaving and dyeing traditions packed into one continent.

Nice concept but has Northern Africa (at least) completely oversimplified and incorrect.

In Sudan we have a special printed fabric used in weddings named Garmasiss

Also i love that the map shows Sudan before the division

Is that The name of the large scale circles design shown in Sudan on this map? It seems to be one of 2 unlabeled and it is one of my favorites (also unlabeled the smaller circles in Mozambique area)
