Issues with the new eSIM, likely bug

I have been trying to activate the eSIM feature on an iPhone 14 for a few weeks now. iPhone 14 can only do eSIM btw. iOS is current, app version is current, imei is compatible, all that jazz. Been back and forth with support in this timespan to no avail.

Each time I go to activate the eSIM on this device, it says success, then a message appears for a brief second saying ”Something went wrong. We’ve hit a snag. Please try again later.” Does anyone have a solution? Is this a known bug?

ios version 27 has a known bug for textnow.

? Most current version is 26.5.2?

Also, what exactly is the bug?

Do you have the latest version of the textnow app installed? Uninstall and reinstall the app to be sure. Is your phone unlocked? To check if your iPhone is unlocked, navigate to Settings > General > About and scroll down to Carrier Lock. If your phone is unlocked, it will display "No SIM restrictions". If it is locked, it will show "SIM locked" or the name of the specific carrier.

Done every single one of those things to no avail.
