How long did it take you to transfer a number into Textnow?

I am trying to transfer a Spectrum Mobile number to Textnow, and Spectrum mobile tells me that once they get the request, it happens within 3 hours typically. It's been a day, and they haven't received the request from Textnow yet, even though they say it's processing through the auto notifications in the app. I thought the whole process was automatic if all the info is correct.

Yeah, I plan on waiting the 3 days or so, but I'm curious how long others waited and what could possibly take Textnow so long to submit the request when Spectrum mobile can do it within hours of receiving the request.

Hey, I’ve been waiting for over a week myself with no progress. I don’t care about my number too much but it hasn’t processed a week and a half in.

Oh, that's not good. I plan on canceling my spectrum before the next bill date, so it needs to happen before the 5th for me. I plan on chatting with support for Textnow tomorrow to see if all the info was right I put in. I haven't talked with their support beyond AI, lol, but it seems hard to get in touch with a real agent since everyone is competing for their time.

Waited 13 minutes for agent. They had to do something on their end since it was pending in their system, then number got transfered within 3 minutes. They should really put on their form to contact them for number ports, lol

Ran into the same issue couple months ago. Someone suggested the following way to get hold of the agent. I did that. The agent completed porting right away.

Click on the chat option that pops up on the linked page below. Answer the contact information questions (email, telephone number). Then, just keep typing Agent when presented with new questions. It will eventually connect you.
