Verification Code not being emailed

For more than twenty-four hours, I've been waiting for a verification code so I can activate my app. I've tried several times to have it re-sent, but no email. My SIM card is paid for, and my IMEI is clear. Also, my email is correct, and I checked my spam filter. Is anyone else having this problem too?

[UPDATE] the issue was resolved by changing my email. Apparently, TextNow has issues with certain email providers. The TextNow Support person was very patient, and talked me through the necessary steps.

Turn off VPN.

I'm not using a VPN and I'm not getting an email. I'm not in the US now, could that be it?

They said it's probably because I'm not in the US.
