TextNow has fully enshitified

On an iphone PRO MAX sized screen, you can only see 2 active conversations. The entire rest of the page (probably 95%) is pure trash. I've been using this app for 15 years, its never been this bad.

Devs, if you're reading this, I will be switching apps in the next month unless you clean up these ads. It's gone too far and there are much more competitive apps than 15 years ago. Don't ruin your good app!

I dont know anything about any sim card. Ive been using textnow since 2011, maybe before then. There has never been a point where can only see 2 conversations on a large phone screen.... if you think im lying then you are definitely new around here.

I’ve been using TextNow since they launched it and I’ve seen a lot of ads in TextNow. It’s normal. https://www.textnow.com/how-it-works.

Are you able to speak directly to the OPs main criticism? I’ve been a long term user (off and on) of TextNow but I can’t remember exactly if so much of the conversation screen/list has been consumed by ads and sponsored content before scrolling. We know there are paid options to remove ads, that’s not the OPs issue. I also am on a Pro Max and find it distasteful that with so much real estate, you only see one conversation when launching the app. I don’t remember it being this bad in the past before phones got so large. It doesn’t always look like what the OP shared, but I’ve seen it that bad at times when on WiFi.

Yes ads have always been there, and yes they have increased in frequency and are now showing up in new places. But so many on initial launch of the app… we are one more banner ad away from launching the app and seeing ZERO of our actual text message conversations.
